Shapiro earns $1.3mil/year base salary with heavy emphasis stock options. Six Flags stock has gone down like 95% since Red Zone took over the company. I dont know how much Shaprio is banking on that stock price, but Dan Snyder has lost a LOT of money on Six Flags .

This is one of the few situations where a huge bonus doesn't bother me much. Six Flags is doing a lot better than it would have done without Shapiro and he seems to really care about the parks and their guests. I don't think he's in it just to hear the cha-ching.

They charged me about the same last year when I bought my big 6 pass.

They did that for awhile now. Screamscape must not own a Six Flags season pass.

The guy doesn't deserve nothing yet more than he's making. Wait, until he can fully get the company out of it. This is the company that put Dark Knight rides in last year in which a lot of people don't like. This is the company that doesn't file permits with a city.

Well, the permitting process is up to each individual park to take care of and make sure it's followed. That second part is what got SFNE in trouble last year.
