This has been my 7th park this season and I want to say that's #@$%in crazy. I really love my roommates.

This is really about Diamondback just so you know..........
So everyone and their momma/papa in the state of Ohio was expected to be there so the parking lot opened at 6am. We got there at 6 15am haha. You best believe we came prepared! We waited at the front of the security gates till around 8 15 in the cold. That's when the freakiness happened.
We ran to guest services to get our employee tickets. As they're takin our IDs, all you hear is screaming. I looked at the window and people we shoving, running and yellin with nothin but excitement to be those first batches of riders on the new "fierce" Diamonback. It was scary. People weren't playin around.
We got in the park and ran down international street turned the corner and waited for them to let us pile into the DB que. Everyone stood there jumping, pacing, tappin their feet and blabbin. I have never been part of somethin this crazy. I felt like I was waiting for the the largest coaster ever made.......and what I relaized(& as they advertised), to Kings Island, it is. "The man" came out with his megaphone and announced to have your passes ready. Anyone who didn't have a gold or premium season pass was denied early entry. Im glad I had my ID.
They let us in and people cheered and screamed and RAN! But we were stopped soon...there were so many people they had us start in Nick central Uturn around back to eifel tower and go back into NC and around the corner into DBs portable ques. So we were waiting since 6 30am but tech. only since 8 15 approx. We finally got our first ride very back row of red train at 10 25am!
The ride...
The trains are BEAUTIFUL! Especially green train! Ugh! Haha ...sexy. There are scales all over the train, the colors are vibrant and glowing and the fangs are BA. Haha. The trains are super huge...felt so diff from RagingBull.
There's really good airtime. I was floating...not gracefully floating but like scary floating throughout each ENTIRE hill! Its whoa! Haha. I love that at the bottom of the drops, the track curves transitioning directions left and right. Really loved that. The hammerhead or turnaround, whatever B&M calls 'em, was quick and forceful....not so much in the middle but the back yes. The block was like bulls. Didn't kill it basically.
Now the splashdown....that $%@# got me soaked both times I rode it the back. In the morning I was wearin my SFGAm hoodie(represent! Haha) and I of course had my arms up and the water shot my arm straight up soakin my entire left side of my body! I was like WTH! It was so cool. Haha..didn't upset me.
The only thing I did not like about the ride was that at the bottom of the major hills goin out tword the woods, it rattled my brain. It was odd...it wasn't rough it just hurt my head like a inside vibration. I dont know how to explain it...sorry. But all in all I DID NOT expect a lot out of it at all! It totally surprised me. It was really great. Its one of my favs now, definatley. The que is really quick and moves fast, Which is obv. nice.
Night ride was the best. It gets really dark and cold back there in the ravines. Brrr. Haha. But its great.
The entire day was packed cause of DB....everyone literally was there. I saw so many people I knew it was crazy. The ques for every ride were either full or close to. I've never seen it like that, nor has my friends who are from the area. But you had to expect it cause they marketed this like the millennium of cincinnati...seriously. The only rides I didn't get on was Backlot and Firehawk, thank god the park was open 10-10.
It was a really good day. And if you look on Kidiamonback.com they posted an aerial picture of the 4hr line for Diamondback....crazy. But def. Make a trip this summer if you can...it is def worth it. Just don't expect the most out of it and you'll be glad. Some just expected too much....but still don't under estimate either.
Take a strike on Diamondback... "your first ride may be your last".
Have a good night boys & girls!
