Random Visit - 4/10/09

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby [jonrev] on April 10th, 2009, 9:48 pm
So I'm running around taking care of some crap and after finding myself in Gurnee and happened to have the camera, I decided to kill some time at Great America...

I see you...

Okay, for those that have been saying "It's much worse this year", quit your whining. :P It felt no different than last year, in both front and back rows.

Then there's this guy that's just plain irritating... to the point that I won't watch this show again...

Crowds were low but there were more people today than last Friday/Saturday. Everything was either a walk-on or one train wait. Employees are still very friendly.

As usual, high-res pics are available upon request.

I was there as today as well, came in around 4ish for a quick visit (not worth starting a trip report). I just hopped on a couple of flats and hit Superman and saw some bucky-Bat boats resting by the exit ramp on my way down..

Those markings by SSA are happening soon...Deja Vu was marked mid-summer....but maybe that was because the ride wasn't fully down till May so never mind. Anyone hopeful for something other than HH expansion?

Pink markings are usually digging locations. Can't really tell what it is though, I bet they are just scoping out the area to see what they can and cant fit there, hopefully a pink mark doesn't land square on Pictoriums roof or something like that, would suck ;)

I was actually trying to do just that for the pic, but I ended up moving too much between the two shots and it didn't work. Image

If it wasn't for the lockers I would probably have a tripod with me on some of these visits, for pics like what I was trying for it would've really helped.

Eagle is racing already? Theyre gonna blow through that $200mil operations loan during the dead beginning of the season and have no budget later in the season like in 2006 .

Although that is really impressive theyre already racing when its totally dead.

You have the crappy watermarked version, I could care less...

My only guess is it's for one of the ride sensors.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

^Thanks! I'm shooting with a new camera this year and so far I've been really happy with the results. It sure beats that POS 3.1 megapixel HP Camera I had back in 05.

What kind of Camera do you have?!

After my 4-45 visit, I'm sending mine to Sony, and there is something inside me lens! I don't feel like Voiding my Warranty so I'll just send it to them instead.....Hopefully, they'll give me a new lens and make things easy. Better yet, make it silver, because the red camera looks pink on the backside...A very dark pink. ew.

But for this camera 10MP and Very high ISO, I can't resist! It's only a compact camera, so it's zoom isn't all that great.

So, in short terms, my pictures I take at 4-25, you'll see a spot in the same spot of EVERY picture.....how annoying.

I am shooting with a NIKON CoolPix P80. It has an 18x Optical zoom and shoots 10.1 megapixels. It can go up to IS0 6400 but the photo quality will be total crap, this camera is notorious for noise issues.

That's a professional Camera, mine's just a compact.

^I'm hoping to replace it instead of just repair it....I'll get silver if possible, this color is starting to sicken me

Haha, Lets get back on topic.
