Wow. I really don't know where to start. I can't really cover everything we did but I'll do my best to highlight the important events. Well, my friend and I arrived at the park about 10 before 10. We waited at the farthest lane to the left and were surveyed. The national anthem was played and in we went. A little chilly but not as cold I expected. At the carousel stage, Mr. Six did his little dance and We Like To Party abruptly stopped in mid-song. The chain dropped and off we went being plowed over by the few people ignoring the walk commands all through Orleans Place. As it ended up, we got first dispatch on BTR front row and Whirlygig. Eagle blue was closed so we took a 1-cycle wait for red. However, the eagle on the front sign and trash receptacle sign at AE is GONE. I was crushed. Anyway, I was anxious to see my oh-so-beautiful Demon to the disgust of my gf. According to a ride op., the tunnel lights will return "later in the season." On a brighter note, sound effects were added back to the 1st tunnel. We took a chilly ride on Orbit, then headed to Southwest T. Ricochet was temporarily closed so off we went to Bull. We decided to ride front row despite the lengthy 2-train wait. It was a bit of a shock, to say the least, but very fun. Viper was next on our to-do list so we got a front row walk-on. Strangely, the photo booth was missing but I'm sure it shouldn't last too long. In hometown square, I ran into my lead and hit Triple Play, yellow car as always. On Sky Trek Tower, we spotted Jonrev's Fiero and I took a pic. just to be stalker-like. We found out that the computers were not yet up and running at the Cyber Cafe but it looks like they have some really good treats. I forced my gf on TDK for her first time even though she's afraid of clowns. (Just wait 'till Fright-Fest!) Then, I rode SUF for a 1-cycle wait. We rode ERC, BTR (again) and Fiddler's Fling. Then, I got my first ride on Revvy. Pretty fun but a little slow at parts. We rode AE again and I noticed that flames were added to Red Train's logo and stars were added to Blue Train's. We caught a ride on GAR (Actually our longest wait yet) and 2 more rides on Demon. My gf left and I met up with my other friend. We returned to Bull and found Jonrev in Bull's station. I got a Chubasco credit and we returned to Hometown Square for some Whizzer action. 1-train wait for front row and we discovered HFM was closed today. (I Like the sign change, more noticeable) Sometime during the day, my friend was able to convince some ride ops. to call The Orbit "Orleans Orbit" and Ricochet "Big Top." After a few more hours of re-riding, we ended our day on Columbia with the Carousel Song playing at the front gate. A perfect end to an (almost perfect) day and we departed.
So it sounds like Six Flags has finally got the Hint that they need sufficient staff, and most, all rides possible open right off the bat? Sounds fun!
Did any parts of the park open an hour later then the park did like last year? Sounds like Six Flags did a lot to make it a wonderful opening day? i might just have to go this year.

Like 2008, all of County fair opened at 11 but signs were clearly placed so there wasn't any confusion. There should be some flowers blooming around the carousel pool for spring.

There was no V2 train there.
