Ok, first I was about to post how stupid that idea was. But as the post page came up, I thought wait, this is a joke!

Edit: Nevermind. I guess it's real, goes to show how much I've been paying attention. I've always liked Medusa the way it was, even if I've never been there. The new paint job certainly is pretty cool, but I liked it the way it was. Really, what was the point of this?

The paint job is pretty good, especially on Medusa which needed one badly. I knew the name sounded familiar. They mentioned Bazarro on Seinfeld last night. Anyways, back on topic. I really don't hear much about him anymore in anything Superman. Plus, the effects should brighten up the rides a bit. Now we just need some fire for Bull. :D

While we're on the subject of CHANGes, supposedly unless plans change there will be 2 spare 12-13 or so year old standup trains for the taking next year. No idea if SFGAm would be able to get them, honestly there has been no talk of it specifically, but it would be nice. I don't think any other SF stand up is in need of trains. ;)

Iron Wolf has problems far beyond the trains. in my opinion its a great ride, but repainting/new trains would not even touch many of the structural and mechanical work that needs to be done. It wouldnt surprise me to see it removed sometime in the near future opposed to getting all of the work that it needs.

Is it really in that bad a shape? I know it has ongoing foundation problems, has since basically day 1. Also, along the way SFGAm has done a bunch of structural work, added a whole bunch of new supports.

Footers, supports, track (I dont know what they were thinking going with ball joints connecting the track/supports, but theres a reason no other B&M has them), combined with the fact that the ride is just old and falling apart :).

Bizzaro to me makes no sense to me. I seen this character on Superfriends (when it was on cartoon network), but he hasn't been on the newer Superman cartoons (which is quite old now), Lois and Lane old show, or Smallville. So, why have this character? There is Doomsday, Brainiac, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Supergirl, and Superboy that are more well-known than this character.

I don't get the retheme on the Superman ride. It's Superman already. How about theming their SLC ride instead? Shapiro says it's one of the best rides in the park already, so what's the point of retheming it? The old painted red on the ride from pictures looks fine to me. For Medusa, I think that's a stupid name and I'm fine with that, but still Bizzaro?

Actually alot of B&M's use the ball joints, it was developed by schwarzkopf it's so the track can move somewhat independently of the structure and it helps prevent stress fractures at those key connection points. Though they are not as prevalent on some other B&M rides, Batman has at least one in it's heartline, Chang is covered with them as seen here http://www.rcdb.com/ig275.htm?picture=9 , Dragon Kahn is almost exclusively ball joints also http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p6466.jpg , basically they used them up until about the early 00's. Last one I can find looks like SFMM's Scream in 2003.

And don't look now,but I see at least 4 of them in this picture alone :)
