Maybe they realized he was the only good mascot to promote their parks. Maybe they realized they let him go too soon. Anyway, according to screamscape which has been reliable recently, Six Flags might be considering bringing back the popular old guy very soon. Nothing is confirmed but their Asian guy used in 2008 promos caused quite a stir for being too controversial even through it wasn't. Maybe they just want to go the safe route and bring back what worked before and probably will again. Mr. Six died after the 2005 season right so it might be time to see how much life is left in him. Anyone excited? Don't care? Is that a real old guy in the role? Or just good make-up?
It would definitely be a good move to bring Mr. Six back. Those commercials were great, and they were effective. Last year's "More Flags More Fun" was lame and got annoying quickly. 2007's "You are here" was just pathetic. I know I'm here As for 2006, I don't even remember what the commercials were like other than there weren't on very often.
You must not have read the park music thread so I'll make a long story short. B96 screwed the park's music and I heard rap on Columbia one day in August. It was sickening.

I heard the same thing my first trip there as well in August. Event better was ridding the tea cups on the last day of the season using the Fright Fest set-up but playing Rhianna music instead. Never in my life did I think the tea cups, Rhianna and strobe lights would be used together.
Try working in Mardi Gras with the B96 Summer Studio right across the midway blasting that crap one day each week. Every half-hour or so it was either "Party like a Rockstar" or "Beautiful Girl" blasted throughout the area. It was a rather interesting change from the usual music but it got old and irritating very quickly. I've never cared for B96 in the first place.

Incorrect, B96 had nothing to do w/ park wide music.

Anything is better than hearing the dispatch interval siren from the good ol' 117 unit.....

Maybe Shapiro is starting to finally realize he's not as smart as he orignally thought. Shapiro and Snyder bashed the previous company management for the Mr Six ad campaign as having no market and being flat out creepy. If Mr Six returns that would be funny in my opinion that they're doing yet another thing they said was "part of the problem" to begin with.
