Suppose i better get my comment in before this one is locked as well, because we all know posts must never be in our own taste, and should never be of anything other then what the mods find interesting....
Anywho. 2008 was a pretty good season for me as well! Cannot wait for 2009, I am def gonna try and visit Six Flags more often, now that gas prices have fallen (hoping they stay low), i will be able to afford going down there, now that a full tank is only $18! Woot!
^ Yes because we all are personally out to get you, especially me, its been documented..
Listen, topics that are rewrites or the same old boring stuff will be locked and or deleted. We all understand its the offseason and things get a little slow around here. But that doesnt mean we personally seek out and lock posts because we dont like the person or whatever, We feel that it does not provide anything worth actually talking about offseason or not.
And let me also say that alot of the topics that are left untouched by the Mods would never make it on the major boards.
Some of them have been unnecessarily deleted right away when nobody even had the chance to share with the original poster. I understand locking but deleting is not necessary especially since most of us are established posters who know what is a decent/poor post.
^^^This has been already discussed I reckon...somewhere...
I plan on going to DLR, Knotts, SFMM, and USH at least a few times each, DLR a lot more than a few times =P. All the small parks and beach parks in socal at least once, also traveling up north for a trip to Great America, Discovery Kingdom, Santa Cruz, and Gilroy Gardens. Maybe Silverwood if theres enough time in August, who knows. In the meantime im content with being able to hop on Soarin, TZToT, Cali Screamin, Splash Mountain, Xcelerator, and X2 when im bored (and DejaVu/Terminator when they open).
Topics like this are old, boring, unimaginative and have little value overall to the forum. Its nothing more then a "what do you want the park to do topic" Except worded differently.
This was in another forum, then it was locked! It was the "us controlling the park" topic, which im sure some thought was a great topic, but like i said, what we think is a great or constructive topic does not matter. Further more its not a personal attack on me, i do not think its personal, i think that its the admins, controlling our brains, telling us what we think is constructive, fun, imaginative, exciting and telling us what "Boring, old, unimaginative" Means. Just to keep "Control" of the forums. I personally hope six flags is never run like this, it would get pretty boring.. Its ok to post topics like that and still remain a "constructive" roller coaster fan trust me

Thank you SFaddiction84 but the forum I made was what the Company should have added at their parks, not just Great America.
The forums have always been run this way Coaster Justin and SFAddiction.
Go on some big name forums, and you'd see that topics like this don't show up. Because their pointless and are a huge waste of a space. In the past year or so I've just seen this site go to hell because a lot of new members think their personal opinions are more important than the rules of the site. If you don't agree with the rules, THEN DON'T POST HERE! It's that simple!
Sure SFAddiction, this could remain a great site, and we still have those types of topics, but with some of the people here, we really can't. That topic has been posted well over 50 times since I've been a member here, and it's REALLY getting old. If you want to add things to the park, go download a recreation for rct and have at it.
onyx18, I am sorry, but you are NOT an established poster here. Don't be so quick to point to your post count. I rarely read anything constructive and interesting from your posts. You've been here for around nine months, keep learning.
Coaster Justin, you have been warned SO many times on these boards about posting, "what do you think/what would you do?" topics. Just stop already.
Sorry to go T_Biggs on all of you. hahaha
My main goal for this year is to either get a West Coast trip or an East Coast trip. Besides that I'll probably be at SFGAm less, with a Cedar Point trip in there, and DEFINITELY heading down to Holiday World for Pilgrim's Plunge.
To fair, I first want to say, i am not Bashing any admin, or owner of this board at all
I DO understand that without rules and guidelines, there would be space on the server taken up that didnt need to be. I respect all posters and admins for the work they do, i LOVE checking this forum out to see whats happening.
However, i have NOT been on this site since it opened, and to post something quick, i do not have the time to sift through 30 or more pages of topics to make sure it was not already posted. Whether its stupid, dumb, worthless, boring or already been posted. If i open the topic and see that it has already been posted, i back out and move on, a millisecond of my time wasted o well. I just think posts should be given a chance, like a day or to, see if it picks up strength or not. Most of us do not log on every day, all day and know every topic that has ever been posted and ya sometimes i post things that have already been posted, i admit that.
I just feel, that if an admin finds something pointless or stupid or boring "even if others do not think so" it should not be automatically shut down, locked and discarded like a piece of paper.
Like i said, i have no problem with the admins or anyone and i was not making a direct attack or saying that locking out posts was a direct attack against me. Just stating that yes, keep the rules and the guidelines but lightening up a little would not be all that bad either. Have FUN on the forums, its not that hard to just back out of a post you find boring and move on, However, these are my views and i cannot force them on anyone else so im sorry if this IRKS peoples brains. Peace
I really wanted to comment on the thread "Us Controling Shapiero" but since I am not logged on every milisecond of the day i could not, plus that thread was locked just because some people did not like it, I thought it would be fun but I was not fast enough, or just logged on at the wrong time, and if they complaign about server space delete some of the locked topics or some so the ones that have not been posted on since 2003 like ones about "What Will our new B&M flying coaster be like"
"The rides are GREAT, The shows are GREAT, the fun is GREAT. At Marriott"s GREAT AMERICA!"

That is why they have this nifty little button at the top of the page called "search." You just type in what you want to post, and BAM! They give you topics that relate to what you want to post! How cool is that!!!

For anyone that posted Knuckleheads (not just cycamps, there was another one as well) as a Theme/amusement park. How do you consider it that? They only have 4 or 5 rides, and if you are full grown (6 feet tall) you are probably taller than most of the rides, except for the roller coaster, which is probably double your height. How would you even get on the rides? The operators might not let you on, due to height/weight constraints.

Otherwise its just go-karts and an arcade. People need their credits though...
Thank you for clearing the first part up for me. I've never gone because they almost explicitly say "children's rides," so that wasn't my cup of tea. Haha. Don't forget the bowling...lol.
This is true, they will do almost anything to get the credits
