Found this on Youtube.

If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

Good find. My parents used to tell me about this ride and others at Riverview. Yeah, that would be some ride without the dividers or seat belts..
I guess that would have been considered a "thrill ride"
for some people back in those days.

I'd be scared to ride it without a seatbelt or lapbar!
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon! *****Are you ready to Rockit?!*****

That doesn't look too bad...wait a minute, it seems I have shattered my ribcage just by viewing it.

Awesome find. That seems like it would still be a good ride were it still opened today.

^ I think it would still hold its own, but I am sure it would be toned down some with braking.

It's also in desperate need of some banking.

It doesn't look very rough from that POV. I would expect it to be rough, considering it has almost no banking.

But the people in the video looked like they had fun and weren't in pain. Maybe people back then really didn't give a sh!t about roughness. The rougher, the more dangerous, the more thrilling, the more fun.

Those old woodies looked insane. It's pretty neat that they even thought of making a POV back then...

^ Maybe the person in the front row had to turn a hand crank on the camera the entire ride

Man I wish I lived in the 1960's. I'd love to get a chance to ride that. Kind of looks like it might give The Boss at SFStl a run for its money in terms of roughness though.
