It has been two years since this list was posted, so I was curious as to whether there have been any changes to the list.
Our family really enjoyed what sounded like "Beautiful Things" (rather the same synthesized keyboard riffs on the Gabriel & Dresden Mix that we heard whilst waiting in line & riding the ride itself), but none of us can seem to find the exact version of this track anywhere.
Can anyone tell me the precise title/mix version of the one played during this year's FF?
They added a Rihanna song to that loop in 2008, thats the only one I can think of (based on word of mouth, I have no idea what song it is or what it sounds like).
Six Flags Radio was part of the Six Flags Media Networks plan to be phased in after the introduction of Six Flags TV, I believe its the same soundtrack all over the park.
Yes, totally claseless and whatnot. Rap playing anywhere in a theme park, especially on the Carousel is like slapping everybody in the face as they enter and walk by it, or taking a big advertising dildo and shoving it up your [you know what] while walking through a nicely themed Orleans area. They use the soundtrack now to sell things such as concerts (as noted by Sean Kingston playing every hour) and advertising. You dont really notice how the BGM contributes to the parks atmosphere until it completely destroys it. How are you supposed to take SWT's theming seriously with pop music playing in it.
Looking at things in perspective: one of the many reasons a lot of SF parks got better in 2008 and GAm got worse is because guests of other parks are used to thir parks sucking (AKA Great Adventure & Magic Mountain). Now that those parks are consistantly running multiple trains and decent operations, SF has vastly improved those parks, now that has taken place people there couldnt care less about stuff like SF TV (even though some rides at other parks have SFTV themed to the ride). Whereas GAm has always had a fairly good operation so the room for improvement wasnt the same company-wide. When I went to Great Adventure earlier this season I really enjoyed it even though it still needs ton of cosmetic work to even be considered a good corporate park, I still had a great time in contrast to my 2005 visit (oh, and they have El Toro now ).

Rap and Britney Spears was being played on Columbia. The only good territories with decent soundtracks were HH, ST, and YH. I noticed YH brought back some of the original Marriott music definately. County Fair and Hometown Square soundtracks need a lot of work. I think we should all send a complaint to SFGAm and see if anything changes for 2009. I think we can all agree rap on any carousel is downright un-american.
I thought that carwash was fine since it was a 70's song. I did get sick and tired of beautiful girl and unwritten they overplayed that way too much for the 2008 season. I also agree that it is a shame that they played rap for the columbia. I think that the park really needs to improve with the food and music for the 2009 season.

Yeah. It's fine the 1st time but I don't want to have to hear it over 3 times every time I go to the park.

Thanks so much for making me watch that video again...This is why I will never shed a tear for another ride leaving...We already lost the best...The rest don't matter...Yeah I said it...Mark Shapiro you are an idiot!
Closed for the season. Anyway, I love my Bull and Superman but not having our GIB anymore and having it replaced by a water gun soaker is sad. Getting back on topic, the park music isn't that bad but they either play stuff 5-10 years old (backstreet Boys?) or the same stuff over and over again. How about some new stuff?
The music in the park does really suck. I wish they would play somthing that was not so annoying and i wish they would stop replaying it over and over and over.
