Their Superman was originally going to open in 2002 but Six Flags and Mexico officials could not agree on some important issue so it was delayed for two years. It is also interesting that their Batman is by Vekoma not B&M.
If a word there is a word or phrase that cannot be translated into Spanish, then the words are said in English. Hence "Dark Knight Coaster" is spoken in Spanish as the English words.
My definition of Spanglish= the use of Spanish and English words in the same sentence. and "Dark Knight Rollercoaster" translated to Spanish is "Caballero Oscuro montaña rusa"
I think time and re-riding really makes TDK a great ride.
I rode it 3 times this summer and had the "meh" feeling...and the longest I waited was 20 mins. I rode it 4 times during Fright Fest and it got better and better every time. Don't focus on the "oh its a high thrill coaster with high theming". Just go into it telling yourself its just a mouse. And really, the ride is pretty intense for a mouse. Go ride some other MACK mice and you will appreciate this one. One way of thinking about it is, when you go on Whizzer you go on it because you want to have fun. You don't ride it for an extreme thrill...you need to go into TDK thinking the same way.
Its kind of like relationships....Sex or Love?
Sex= extreme thrills Love= fun
Although Sex might be GREAT at the time....over time you will grow tired of the person (or in this case "ride"). But "love" will always be there and you never get tired of it.
Whizzer is definitely more intense than I ever imagined it would be. Those turns are killer. I'll be updating my top 5 coasters soon I think. Dark Knight should do well in Mexico but it is kind of sad they just dumped it because nobody else wanted it and it disappointed both Great Adventure & Great America.
