Yes, it's a old PTR, however, since this contains mostly Aftershock photos, I figured you all would enjoy it.

I truely love this shot, it's always better with both trains on both lifts though.

This shot has become so cliche for me. And yet I still love it.

And at last I leave you with a great shot of Panic Plunge, one of my best shots all season.

So thanks to those who read this PTR. If you liked this PTR, I have plenty other Silverwood PTRs, as well as Aftershock construction updates over at Roller Coaster Pro.

^^ Are you sure that security just forgot to open the courtyard, or do you think it may have been intentional? I know that at a lot of parks (such as all the Disney World parks) they wait to open up sections containing the most popular rides until a couple minutes after the rest of the park had opened.

I always thought Deja Vu looked so creepy in the dark! And now Aftershock does too! It is almost like it was never at SFGam doesn't it? It has only been gone one season but it feels like forever...

Aftershocker, I heard that Silverwood's Loading of Aftershock is Faster than Great America was with Deja Vu, Is this True?

^Lol, it's just a roller coaster

But yeah, I hear they load faster, and their park is smaller, so the capacity of Aftershock fits the park better. And I hear they are trained specifically to operate it.

I hear from all those forums from that park they may be waiting to paint Aftershock those darker green & blue colors until later (exhausted much?). A huge multi - million dollar company like Six Flags could not run it properly and a small park like Silverwood got it working so fell the first time out there. Wow. Question: Does anyone know, on average, how much downtime Magic Mountain experiences with Deja Vu? I know it has an annual "rehab" but baout how much on a given day this season was it down or had problems?

Plans have been delayed. They seem to be ok with waiting and I don't see why they should rush. They spent so much money and time getting Aftershock they probably just want to wait a bit before they take on anything else that is not absolutely necessary.

Why would they paint it, it was just painted a few years ago and still looks really good.

They want darker colors to reflect their park color scheme better. I think it will look awesome with darker colors but If I were them I would wait a season or two even just because I would be exhausted with getting Aftershock paid for and set up. WHEN IS OPENING DAY?

SFGAm OPENING DAY-APRIL 4 2009

and I heard that they got DV for dirt cheap so it shouldn't cost that much to paint it if they figure it all into one bill.

SFGAm OPENING DAY-APRIL 4 2009

I would assume April 4 is the first day that a company buys out the park, not the official opening day.

They are pushing the opening day earlier this year to coincide with spring break for the teen set. The park will probably be open weekends only in April and maybe buyouts will happen on Fridays or for one weekend. It is a good idea. Spring Break has a lot of people not knowing what to do with their time. Wow April 4th that is really early. I remember thinking April 27th was an early start but this is just awesome!

I have no idea what Six Flags was at, but at Silverwood we were at 4.5 min ride cycles. We were also self trained on the ride. We had 30 min. and two ride cycles with no riders to practice before opening to the public.
