I am interested in seeing you all year park and coaster and ride count. I was going to post my all year count now, but I am making my way this week to Six Flags for one last time. You I am just interested in seeing other people's counts and you will see mine next weekend. ( I mainly want to compare etc...)
I'm 75% sure I will be heading to Silverwood sometime in summer 09 and 98% sure for Magic Mountain. My first out-of-state parks. I actually know someone in Idaho so it will be worthwhile not just for Deja Vu. It has always been Great America rides for me. My friends mom was actually on the very first public run of American Eagle in 1981!
Six Flags Great America- ALL Six Flags Great Adventure- ALL, but Kingda Ka. Six Flags New England- ALL, but the wooden one Colloseus? LOL I don;t know how to spell it. Six Flags Great Escape- ALL, but the corkscrew. Six Flags La Ronde- ALL Lake Compounds- ALL Canada's Wonderland- ALL Cedar Point- ALL, but Mean Streak?...blah blah hehe
I'm going to SFGAM Nov. 1st. and planning on SFMM- maybe
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!
^ Demon is a good ride, yeah he has an attitude problem but if you keep bashing him, he isn't going to like you. Anyways I thought I had a good coaster count this year, I think mine last year was more then 99.
Instead of doing the coaster count thing (# of coasters and # of times on rides), I rather do which new rides (roller coasters or not) I've ridden this year that were great, good, and bad. This is only my opinion.
Great
Invertigo Dark Knight Flight Deck (Arrow Suspended Coaster) Adventure Express (Arrow Mine Train) Backlot Stunt Coaster Technical Park Street Fighter Vortex
Good
Flight of Fear A Disko Coaster Grand Carousel Fairly Odd Coaster Racer Rugrat's Runaway Reptar Wisdom Viper
Bad
Wisdom Genesis Son of Beast Beast Scooby-Doo: The Haunted Castle (The guns were broke!) ARM Touchdown Wisdom Starship: Area 51 (It's not really a new concept at all. It's the Gravitron, but it's more intense. To me, it's more intense of a ride I don't like to begin with. For those types of rides, get me on a Scat as I like those the best.)
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Remember, this is just my opinion. Don't take it as how everyone feels. For Son of the Beast, I felt that it was just a turning ride. There was no air to me, and it just was lackluster. It wasn't that rough because of the new trains they put on it. I guess it's because of the new trains, because I haven't gone on it when they had the old trains, and the loop. Now, the loop is removed.
For the Beast, it was a rougher ride. I think that many enthusiasts might like it because of the scenic elements and the tunnels, but my stomach was hurting bad, and it had nothing to do with me puking or anything. I didn't feel any air on this ride either.
For Racer (a dueling coaster), the lapbars aren't that good. They are kind of tight, and won't let you get much air. I wish they would replace them much like Viper, or American Eagle. They will go down all the way, but they will give you some room. These are just all the way down, and they are right on top of you.
The best wooden coaster at that park for me (Kings Island) I thought was (You might think I'm joking, or something, but...) the Fairly Odd Coaster. This was an ugly looking ride, but it delived the airtime which is really weird, because this was the ride I was expecting to be more like the Little Dipper.
The most social coaster I've been on was Invertigo. I haven't been no hundreds, and hundreds or coasters, but that was quite a suprise to me. You are facing each other except for the back, and the front of the train, but it's such a different experience to talk to anyone about the ride. It's like Deja Vu, but the loop is a little smaller, and it's not the full 90 degree towers.

Comments: Six Flags Great America is my home park which is why I went there so many times. This park has a really good variety on rides. I wish they wouldnt have taken down Deja Vu' last year and won't get to ride it this year. I think that the new coaster "The Dark Knight" is really good in scenery and effects, but really short and not to intense. The park already had a wildmouse coaster "Ragin' Cajun". My favorite roller coaster is "American Eagle Red" because I love classic wooden coasters and it is a racing coaster. Verticle Velocity would be second and I do recomend this park if you are in Chicago or Milwaukee. Tell me if you visit and send me your trip report.
Hey guys. It is that time of year again, and well, if there are any awesome nerdy people out there who keep track what they rode, I would post it here! For my count....
