Got to the park about 3:30 and met up with some friends and rode S:UF right away,1 Hr 15 min wait, not my favorite coaster by far but I rode it in the last row and it moved up on my list.
Just for Kicks I rode something I have never ridden before and it was a walk-on, Spacelys Sprocket Rockets!!!!!!!!!!
Next was one of my favorite coasters, American Eagle (The Black Widow), About a 5 minute wait for Red, And I never really realized how HUGE that thing really is until today.
Next we headed over get something to eat, I gotted Chicken!
After that we headed over to Southwest and Went over to Ricoslay, it was pretty fun. Then finishing off with a ride on The Orbit.
All in all a pretty nice day just a little cold but still fun!

I'm planning on taking my brother next weekend. Due to his school on the weekends (He goes to Moraine Valley), we will not make it till about 3:30 P.M. depending on traffic. Due you guys think I will be in danger of not getting our GOLD flash pass? Or is it too expensive to be completely sold out?
Gold will not sell out, I have only seen regular sell out, but go and check out the lines before you get it, teh only thing that was long was SUF every thing else was only about 30 min but the people that I went wit arent Enthusiasts and were really cold so I didn't get to go on much

Went today from 1:30-6:00. Saying it was windy was an understatement. Lines were not horrible when we got there. Got on some flats and hit the Viper. When I was in the station for the Viper, they were getting ready to have the 1 millionth ride of the season on it. The person got a giant Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny slowly walking to the station when I got off. Was kinda cool to see they made it a big deal.
Did some walking around and decided to see how the King Chaos line was. Amazingly, the entire Orleans section was closed ride was. Was weird seeing all 4 rides down, but the shops and games going.
Overall not too bad a day. The whole point was to take pictures for a scrapbook I'm doing. The Francie was cold, but she also did not bring a big coat.
Why was Orleans closed? I'm surprised the biggies were not closed since wind has played a big role in rides being down for much of the day before. Just bundle up. Better be a little cold than sweating buckets with nothing to cool you down.Last time on was on Viper I remembered how awesome it is. More stable than American Eagle and maybe a little more room for feet.
The whole Orleans place deal through me for a loop. What was also weird was that the Dark Knight was also down until I happened to walk past it and it was back up. I know it was running earlier in the day as well as some of the rides in Orleans place.
Viper is 10X more fun and you don't feel like you will smash your teeth any minute. I love Viper and I remembered how much I loved it recently and was like "Yeah, this thing is AWESOME!"
I think American Eagle has this adrenaline when you are in the front. Front on Viper is cool too cause you get pushed up the hill unlike the bag pushing it. The only ride that has a good back is Demon because on the drop, you fly out of your seat. You guys got to try it.
My brother was talked into going on Iron Wolf and Demon in the summer. American Eagle too. Boy, I wish I listened to him on Wolf and Demon. Eagle is jerky but fun. Wolf and Demon are just outdated and tired. Not to mention make your sides feel like someone stabbed you 10X in a row.
Seriously, you could not pay me enough mullah to ride Iron Wolf or Demon this season. Once was enough. They need to replace the trains on Wolf and it could work for more years to come. I say send Demon back to hell and move on to new rides.

I know what you are talking about on the Demon. A week ago last Friday, my knees hit my chest on the first drop on the Demon. Talk about life flashing before my eyes. And yet, I re-rode without getting up lol.

Beats me. I love sit down loppers and it's the only one here. It's not all that rough, has a fun theme, great line music and normally can get re-rides so far during Fright Fest.
All of you people saying the Demon is so horrible just think this, I am going to bet that it was the first inversion coaster you ever went on. That is why it will always hold a special place in my heart and forever a spot in my top 10 coaster list.

#1 It is boring and short #2 Hurts your sides #3 Outdated (There is no need to go on it anymore)
I hope the day comes when Demon is taken down/moved and we get something in the area as well as Splash Water Falls death site. Those two could work well connected. We all know the park has three rides that are either tough to maintain and/or declining popularity. I don't think the park cares what is a classic or has a great history behind it. If if coasts too much to run every year (Whizzer) or people don't ride it anymore (Just like Shockwave) they don't stand around they take it down.
^Unlike Shockwave in its final years, Demon still generates a line.
It also only has a 42" requirement to ride so it has more appeal then Shockwave did being 54".
Arrow loopers from what I have been told are easy to maintain. The ride is still fun with the first drop in the backseat, the tunnels, lights, and music.
No reason to take it out.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
