SFGAdv's Medusa to get On-Board Audio

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Medusa gets the X2 treatment and more, adding in on-board audio.

Sounds like a good way to keep existing rides "fresh". I'd expect to see it happen in more locations.

They should do something like this to Iron Wolf or Demon.

^Demon is Demon, it's epic, and I hope they don't change it, haha. And I don't think any trains for arrow roller coasters are better.

I pray they do it for Iron Wolf. That ride is amazing. The only thing that is wrong with it is the roughness.

Let's notice a pattern though. This transformation was used on the first 4th dimension roller coaster, the first floorless roller coaster. WHY NOT THE FIRST STAND-UP? Or the first B&M stand-up if i'm not mistaking. I am happy six flags is re-theming some rides. But I hope they don't go Terminator all over the place and ruin it.

I think Iron Wolf with a new name, theming, paint job, trains, people would be like, is this new? The dark red color is so dull, and kind of blends in with the background. The only part you see is the lift hill. Oh, and by the look of the skyline at the top of the page, part of the loop too. I think this is a great idea Six Flags has.

There doing this to get people on a older ride that inst so popular. Medusa opened at noon this year and is out of the way, sort of, from the midway...kind of like Iron Wolf.

There doing this so they don't have to spend money on a new coaster, yet they want people to come for something new. It would be nice to get a Iron Wold re-hab...maybe get the coaster popular again.

I hope to god that Medusa is going to get a paint job.

I was there in 2006 and my god it was terrible. Kinda like what Chang used to look like.

Now this is a really good idea.
I would love to see them do this with Iron Wolf.

It would be perfect for Iron Wolf, and maybe they could re-work the station entrance since they have it at the front which really makes it get clogged up there. I think if it was possible make the Exit side the entrance ans switch it that way, it could work, just moving the air-gates would be a pain in the a**. But I think a nice blue for wolf would be nice, wait not blue that is a bad color for coasters at SFGAm, nevermind that color choice. But maybe a nice yellow/black would be nice, yellow rails, black supports, ark green track, that would be nice.

Figures, after I finally get on it, they update it and make it better! I think it's a great idea to start doing this at other parks too, however, for us, I'd rather see it happen on Superman. It would definitely spice the ride up a bit and give you something to actually fly around. I wonder why they chose Medusa to spend the money on, you would think they'd use that money to spice up, oh i don't know, a brand new indoor coaster that is currently lacking MAJORLY in theming....

^ Its a nice idea, but they really don't need it. They need to do it on rides that are loosing ridership...and that way its an excuse not to add a new coaster. But they can advertise it as one.

^^We have to much Yellow/Orange/Brown/Red. On a skyline, those colors are way to similar. Which was one reason I like Deja Vu because it was really vivid and added to the skyline, especially being in view anywhere in the park.

The ride could definitley use some TLC. I wonder what the audio selection will be, and how it will fit the theme. This rides "theming" makes no sense, Medusa themed to a southwest mining company? Medusa at SFDK's theming makes way more sense so itll be interesting to find out what the songs are.

Maybe part of the revamp will be a name change?

I never really use that word, but since you seem to care so much about what other people say, I suggest you just don't do anything of that sort again.

Oh, and Iron Wolf would be the best choice probably. Maybe like a green track with black supports. Something that's different, and will show more in those woods. And that station SUCKS. I would like them to redo it. Iron Wolf really is an amazing ride, but the rough ride is what turns people away. New trains, new paint, new name, better theming, and BAM, new roller coaster. But by Six Flags doing this, they are really just cheating their way into saving their asses. They will advertise it as a brand new ride, and when people ride it, they will be like, hey, this isn't a new ride!

Oh wow.
I'll be sure to.

I wonder if they'll be getting new trains, or just tearing apart the old ones.
Also, Galvan brings up a great point.

It's not like this ride had a HUGE theme in the first place.
Why couldn't they just give it a new one?
or just completely drop it, and the features will just be the "theme."
