Dark Knight Fading?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I'm pretty sure The Dark Knight is running with all 10 cars now at times. Which would increase capacity and shorten the line.

Only problem with 10 cars is, if anything holds up the dispatch of a car in the station. All the cars in the ride get backed up causing some cars to stop on various block brakes in the middle of the ride, and then slowly creep through the rest of the ride. I found out yesterday, that isn't much fun.

Didn't notice anyone stopping at the the block breaks, but makes sense. There was a long line waiting to get into the station when we went on near close.

It takes a LONG time to get from the queue lines, to the pre-show video, through the "hallway" and onto the station. Which loads VERY slowly at least last time I was there on it. I don't know hoe many times people will want to go through it all just to get on the ride. After the 2008 season, the video will be so yesterday. It worked for the movie being out this year too but I would get bored every time going on the ride having to watch that. A press conference.

The ride was packed today with the line spilling onto the midway.

As for the video, that's not completely true. Just look at any ride at universal that is movie themed. People were still going on the Earthquake ride before it got re-themed. Add to the fact that the Dark Knight is one of the top grossing movies of all time and the video will be fine. Also can't forget it is great place to get warm on a cold day or cool or a warm one.
