Should SF try to force employee's to wear/not wear certain cl.othing to please parks guests during buyouts/group outing??

IMHO, hell no!!!! The regular unifrom should be ok for anyone visting the park and not changed so as not offend people who want to change AMERICAN culture.

NO! Exactly, its part of our culture...agreed!

And I remember a story where a wedding couple and there guest were not allowed to go into Alton Towers because of a Muslim day.

"Out of respect, we request the employees wear their uniform pants, instead of their shorts," Carpenter said. "It is only a request, it is not mandatory."

If the clientiele will be primarily muslim families for one day whats the big deal, theyre just trying to be respectful of their guests. Mustve been a slow news day.

I don't think the employees should have to do that at all. I think they are forced into it because than the people won't want to to come to the park, and they lose business. So, they are going to do it. I don't think they should, but they don't want to lose money.

Since the park will be open to EVERYONE that day, would it just make as much sense for SF to ask the muslim group that is sponsoring this event that since this is the beginning os FF and its likely that most people at the park will be non-muslim that the muslins who plan on attending should wear nothing on there heads other than basebell caps and the females in attendance shouldnt cover most of there body with clothing?? That only standard theme park attire should/can be worn.

If a large group of lets say christians/jews(pick any group of your choice) decided to go visit a mosque do you think the same group that is sponsoring this event would be ok with being asked to change there attire/schedule to make the visiting group happy??

Last time I checked, America was a melting pot, with Mulsims included. AMERICAN culture is to be accepting and to embrace others, obviously a lesson you never learned. There is nothing wrong with asking the employees to wear pants. They did not try to force them to wear pants, they just asked. Last time I checked, it isn't Muslims aren't trying to change this so called American culture. They just want to be a part of it and be accepted. Unfortunately, jerks like you can't embrace diversity and make things hard for them.

Part of the American "melting pot" is also to respect other people opinions, even if they differ from your own. Which labelling a person a jerk and saying they dont understand culture is ridiculous.

Shame on you.

As for Bob O, must be a good week first Chitown agrees with you then I do, never thought that happen. Heh

I don't think that it is a big deal, they just asked there employees to wear pants. If my bose asked me to wear pants I would wear them. They are just trying to please their guests.

I think that asking employees to be mindful that a large group of guests will be coming and may feel more comfortable if you choose to wore pants is a perfectly reasonable course of action. They are guests in the park and making them comfortable while at the park is one of Six Flags' priority. Learning to deal with different types of people whether it be culture, age, or disability is part of the job working at six flags. It sounds like no one was forced to switch from shorts, so I don't see a news-worthy issue. Its an entirely different ballgame if the employees were forced to wear pants in that weather.
