Well this day just got better as is went on! Grabbed a bite to eat at subway and headed over. When we first got into the park we headed over to Demon Drop but never got on because of rain and they had to "dry" it off. So next we attempted to try Raptor and after waiting 10 min the ride ops came out and said Raptor is closed due to weather so then we were like 0 for 2. There was a slight mist to a very minimal rain coming down, I was surprised to see them shut the rides down for such a light sprinkle. Next we headed over to Mantis and waited about 10 minutes and got right on, it went very well but it seems as if the ride gets more rough every year. Next we headed over to Millennium Force and waited about 10 minutes and got right on. It was a great ride and this ride crew was very fast at loading the trains. Then after riding Millennium, we went over to Power Tower and rode one of the Turbo Drop towers and only waited 5 min! This ride is copied all over the country so it's not as fun as it was in the late 90's but it was still fun and I couldn't believe that my ears popped as we were going up. After that we went over to Top Thrill Dragster and it of course was closed down for rain so then we decided to head over to Maverick. This ride by far had the longest wait at about 1 hour. Let me tell you something, this ride was the coolest coaster that I have ever been on! What kills me is that it is only a little over 100 ft. and the second launch is freakin awesome! So after exiting that I decided to pick up a picture from the ride. This point in our day was out half time, we decided to go back out to the car and take our stuff out and take our coats back. 15 min later we headed back in. So, as we got back in we tried Raptor and waited only 5 min, Of course I had to ride the front! But it seems as though Raptor is getting a little rough. We were ready for Dragster at this point so we headed over waited about 20 min. and got on. This was great I'm glad I got ride it and no matter how many times you've seen it operate, every time i'm like WOW. Then I decided to head over to Challenge Park, we rode the Skyscraper and it was awesome as usual but the people operating it we so stupid. We headed back into the park and went on Magnum XL 200, with a 5 min wait, and the second hill is scary! It looks like you're going into the lake! and so much airtime of course. SO next I made the stupid mistake of riding Gemini in the back car, 5 min wait . OMG This does not feel good! Then I made an even stupider mistake of riding Mean Streak period! It felt like someone was punching you in your back. My back was hot when I got off! I will never ride that again, no wait on this one by the way. So now on our way over to Wicked Twister we decided to hit Dragster again and it was only 10 min this time! We headed over to Wicked Twister and rode it and there was no wait at all. We had planned on having the Ferris Wheel as the last ride of the night so we rode that one and it just felt good to get off our feet and to get breeze. Headed over to TGI Fridays got some dinner and we noticed we still had an hour to kill before close. So we ran back to Maverick to do that one again and just made it. We waited only 5 min for that one. I was feeling sick to my stomach on my way out, haha. Halloween theming looked great! Cedar Point is the best park I have ever been to and I hope that I can make it back before close. What a great day!
Yeah Maverick was just downright amazing! Totally worth the wait too. Cedar Point was amazing itself and i've been to Disney and Universal. Cedar Point was the best amusement park I have ever been too. Plus the staff here was so polite compared to Six Flags.
They may look lame...but there really convenient. You can put you money, phone, camera, season pass, keys, smokes, ect and you can wear in comfortably on all the rides.
I spent two days at Cedar Point this summer and had a excellant time, and was REALLY impressed with Maverick as well. It is a very well run park with some excellant coasters, but it is nowhere up to the standards of a Disney/Busch/Universal park IMHO. Parks need more than some a few great coasters to be a great park.

I guess i am no stickler for themeing even though i like it, but i feel that CP as a park was really nice. Walking from Maverick to MF makes you go through that old time village which is really cool. Honestly that area alone beat any theme at SFGam. Along with Mavericks entire area.
Not to mention queues estimates at the front of each line are a MUCH used thing and should be used at SFGam also. Everyone at the front of the lines at SFGam looks at me like they just were born when i ask any question. Plus the lines are way more fun, hand picked music in some lines, and actually good music rather then same 5 songs advertised for the concert series
