http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
SF is doing this to blunt the suit the family filed, and with the statements already given by SFKK employee's regarding there lack of maintence on the ride itself, and improper maintence on the cable itself Intamin will likely win amd hopefully the injured party will be well compensated for the injuries she surrered due to SFKK negligence!!
^Wrong...Intamin is nothing more than a broker, same as B&M and many other major ride manufacturers, think of them as "middle men" in the coaster world...A park contacts Intamin and expresses interest in purchasing a ride or roller coaster, Intamin then goes out and contacts their various vendors such as steel fabricators, design engineers (Werner Stengel most typically) ect...Intamin then adds up the cost and adds some to make their money...I'm not sure how far this lawsuit will go with that in mind, once the ride is turned over to a park the responsibility for maintaining the ride is mostly with the park so when parts need to be replaced the park calls Intamin and they order whatever part from the company they originally got it from and have it replaced for the park meaning none of the rides or ride parts actually come from Intamin themselves...
