Can you believe this? What a bunch of crap!!! They shut the park down at noon today because of the remnants of Ike. They didn't get high winds because they are to far inland, all they got was a little rain!!!!
I checked their website and they made no mention of it so their customer service sucks!!!!!
HAHA, I was totally reading that earlier... People get mad about parks closings all the time; but if you really think about it, would you rather go to a park with little or no operation? In my head, they are saving YOU money!!!
The big difference I would see in HW closing early and SFGAM doing so is that HW would do it for the safety of the guests in the parks. While SFGAM would look at the amount of guests in the park and wouldnt base it on safety but rather on economics, which they already did earlier this year.
I was being sarcastic in my original remark. Any park that closes due to weather is right in my opinion whether it be hardly any guests or due to unsafety.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I normally don't disagree with you, Bob O, but let me give you a little math equation of sorts:
Bad Weather = Danger to Run Rides = No reason to open park
It's that simple folks! Great topic Chitown, Six Flags St. Louis, Two of the Schlitterbahns, and i'm assuming all the other parks in Texas are closed too. It's a big storm, people are suffering and homes are flooding. A man just drowned in the creek behind my house at home and it took commuters at my school hours to get to class today, there is definitely more to worry about than closed theme parks for most in the area! Oh, and not to sound wierd or anything, but are there any photos of any of the parks after these rains? I'm found those ones of Six Flags Over Texas's Shockwave underwater quite interesting a few years back, I wonder if any more have surfaced for this year's spat of weather.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
I have no problem at all when a park HAS to close due to se3vere weather conditions. But it is a totally different situation when a park decides to close early when weather isnt severe at all, just inclement and they decide it is far better to screw the guests enroute to the park or already inside by closing earlier then its regular closing time. The first make sense, the latter just screws guests and helps explain why a company that doesnt care about it's guests is failing.
