October 13th Fright Fest

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Since the "Only Monday during Fright Fest" got locked I'll start my own. I'm heading out there this Monday since its the only day my friends can go. I heard that the Wisconsin Schools don't have the day off and I know that not everyone is off work or anything. So I'd think it wouldnt be unbelievably crowded. But then I heard its the most crowded day of the ENTIRE season. Is that true based on past Fright Fests? So, is it usually very crowded or even the most crowded day of the year? How much could I get in?

I don't think everyone will be off work, it isn't a national holiday like chrismas or something.
Its hard to come up with signatures. When I get one it will be right here.

Actually, it is a national holiday. That's why schools and most working places have the day off.

Columbus Day is not considered a national holiday. Christmas is a national holiday. Easter is a national holiday. Thanksgiving is a national holiday. Columbus Day is not. My school in my hometown is not off. Schools in Wisconsin are not off. My mom or dad.. neither of them are off. No one I know in my family that are adults are off. Stores are still open, businesses are still open. A national holiday=most places are closed and most people are off work. MOST people are not off work or school.. "some" are.

Ok, small correction. It is not an "Observed National Holiday".. not everyone is off.. so it's not normally considered a national holiday.

You know what? Who cares if its crowded or not.You are going on a day thats only open from 10-6. If the lines are long on the rides, just soak in the atmosphere of the Halloween theme. That is what is great about Fright Fest. You can enjoy yourself without getting on 1 ride.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

No one knows for sure if it's going to be crowded. It doen't really matter. I agree with Chitown. There are still haunted houses and stuff. If you're really that upset about it being crowded, go on a different day! You are choosing to go Monday. So deal with whatever it's like. It's not the end of the world.

Columbus Day has never been as crowded as the rest of the days during Fright Fest... not in any year I ever worked there anyway. You'll find that you will be able to make it to any shows/haunted houses and still have time to ride the rides.

It was kinda empty today. Wasn't crowded at all... all the lines were about 30 mins and less.
