Trip Report 8/9

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Hello all,

First of all I will never go to Six Flags when the company I work for has an event. I will stay home. Well my cousin and I got to the park before 10. We watched a little bit of that stage show by the carousel. We looked in some shops, and then we waited for them to drop the chains by the Pictorium.

Once they dropped the chains all the maniacs took off running. There was a significant wait for the Flash pass, even though you buy it online it does not matter, you still have to wait. So I got the flash pass and we were gonna head toward the Dark Knight but we decided to ride the Hometown Fun Machine because the Dark Knight was not available until much later. While in line we reserved the Whizzer.

Ride Count
Whizzer-1
HFM-1
Triple Play-1
Train-1
Roaring Rapids-1
TDK-1
Chubasco-1
Carousel-1

We have a season pass and I am so glad that we do because it was overcrowded. There was also a backup on the Dark Knight. A lot of people were cutting in the Flash Pass line and I was getting aggravated. There were these 2 girls from the Navy base who, the 1, cut in front so I told the other one she can go and cut as well. I was being very sarcastic. Once I let them through I stood there with my arms crossed so no one else could get by. After waiting for several minutes people starting exiting the line because the ride was down because someone got sick. How you can get sick on this ride I have no idea. So the 2 chicks from the Navy got out of line and the one says to me to "have a good day sir" Whatever, you cut so don't be like that I said to myself. Then there were your stereotypical black people complain too about the flash pass line. Then when I got off the ride, the one doing the complain was standing there waiting for her family. SHE DID NOT EVEN RIDE!!

There were significant lines for the bumper cars, Condor, Ragin Cajun and even the barney oldfield cars. I had no fun. Hopefully come October for Fright Fest it wont be that bad.

Sorry to hear that. It has been more crowded in the past weeks then it was at all in July. I went on Saturdays in July and it was nothing compared to how it was this past THURSDAY! So much for weekends being the craziest, the weekdays have been worse in my opinion.

It does make it no fun with the type of people we get here in Chicago. The flat lines are way way way to long for any of the rides. I do Flash Pass because there is no way i will wait in some of these huge lines for our rides. Its sad and i cant wait for the crowds to get smaller as well.
