OMG!! Aftershock strands riders at Silverwood.

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

This actually made news. Now all you people that hate that DV is gone can laugh. :D

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

boowhoo.. I mean, could have been worse, at least she didn't valley. Just a faulty sensor. Good to hear that she is running and not too problematic.

I can think of at least one day where that happened at least 20-30+ times in one day, and not a blurb anywhere

I think the reason is because Aftershock is the largest coaster in Idaho *I could be Wrong

Thats why it wasn't mentioned here, Deja Vu wasn't as Innovative here and Aftershock is at Silverwood.

Some guy that works at Silverwood told me that they "Refurbed the ENTIRE ride" and it will "NEVER miscatch/valley" so they don't need to platforms. Then he said that Six Flags doesnt know how to upkeep the ride and thats why its down all the time. He also said it is "smooth as glass" but he hasent been on it at SFGAm and Vekoma will always be rough.

Now, all I can say is

1. You cant do anything about miscatches/valleys...all the upgrades in the world wont help.
2. I'm pretty sure they don't refurbish the entire ride...maybe the train.
3. Last time I checked, SFGAm has had alot more experience with coasters then a park with 2 wooden coasters and 1 arrow corkscrew.
4. They just moved the ride from our park after we got it running good. They didnt have to open it from the start.

Vu's spirit is still there, I knew it wouldn't be "perfect" at Silverwood

For Vu/Aftershock miscatches are as normal as other rides getting stuck on lifts or block brakes. It's just going to happen.

That just makes me laugh. I can't believe it was such a big news item there in Idaho. Must have been a slow news day...

When it valleys I would love to see the faces on the people who said that it never would, and see a video of the m getting the riders off.

I don't understand why you guys care if it has problems or not anymore. It is not in our park so why do you care if it valleys or stalls? It was either Silverwood bought it or it was scraped. I would rather see another park try to get it to run properly then see it scraped. I hope that Silverwood gets it running right!

I dont like to see anything running wrong, but they should know what happens with it, plus well just see what problems they have after winter, and theirs are more intense than ours.
