I could walk to Rosemont CTA and take that bus, but instead I drive to the park. In fact, gas prices are so out of control these days, I'm trading in my current vehicle tomorrow for a GMC Sierra Diesel!

i really question if a diesel is worth it because of how loud it makes your car and not to mention diesel is about $1 more expensive resulting in an extra 20 bucks at the tank probably. Sure your gas milage is improved but its not like you are paying the same for gas

Diesel sure is worth it! I drive a 2006 VW Jetta TDI (and before that had a 98 diesel Beetle) and get about 48 mpg. Big deal, I pay about $4.60/gallon, but I can drive almost twice as far on a full tank than most gasoline cars. Plus- diesel engines last much longer, need less maintainence, and the resale value is much higher, so if you're the kind of person that likes to keep their cars for a long time, diesel is the way to go.
