Anheuser-Busch Sold to European company InBev

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

A couple of days ago, European Beer company (Think Becks) InBev bought out Busch for $52 billion.

They mentioned getting rid of "Non essential assets."

The question for us: Whats gonna happen to Busch's parks? BGE is my favorite park.

 Maybe, if they decide to sell the parks , Six Flags could buy Shiekra and Griffon cheap and give us one of them and give SFOG one to make up for our lost Vu's.

Haha JK

I think it could get sold to Merlin Entertainments. If you don't know who they are they own:

- All Legoland Parks
- Gardaland Theme Park in Italy
- 1/2 of Universal Orlando
- Thorpe Park in the UK
- Chessington in the UK
- Heide Park in Germany
- Alton Towers in the UK

So since they have experience with Animals and Families (AND MOST IMPORTANTLY DEEP POCKETS!!!) They could acquire all the Busch Parks.

With the strong euro and crappy dollar dont be surprised to see many more traditionally American companies be bought out by European companies for a steal.

Theres really no American theme park chains that are in a position to buy parks right now so maybe they will be bought by a European chain.

Oh my gosh, I've been wanting to go to both BGA and BGE for the longest time. I hope they stay for a while so I can visit. Heh.

Anheuser-Busch owns all sea world parks, so I think the parks will be fine, with the new B&M flying coaster opening next year.
