Wall-E

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

Just got back from the midnight show.

If anyone else has been following this movie, weather from the concept itself, or just from the recent commercials; Pixar has out done themselves once again.

The animation is AMAZING.
The story is really good.

And there's so much more to the movie than what you see in the commercials.
I thought Cloverfield had my vote for movie of the year.

...not anymore.

Go see this.
10/10

Going to see it Sunday. The movie looks good just from the commercials.

Agreed. Wall-E is simply amazing. There is not a lot of humor in it like in Cars (which for me is still Pixar's best to date), Toy Story, Nemo, and the rest of them, but falls more along the lines of being dark. The message is simple, but not overly preachy. I don't think Pixar could make a dud of a movie if they tried. Even the shorts before the film are fantastic, especially the magician one before Wall-E. With Toy Story 3 coming soon, it looks like the streak will continue for Pixar.

BTW, I loved Cloverfield.

Really? Cloverfield didnt do it for me. It was okay, but it never excited me. It reminded me of another movie which is slipping from me right now.

As for Wall-E, I can not wait to go and see this movie. I remember when Cars came out, the theater was packed and I waited to see it for three weeks! Very good movie though!

saw this movie today and thought it was pretty great. The animation was great, the story was great, and well...everything was pretty good. I think it just might be my favorite Pixar movie.

WALL-E was amazing. I would not be surprised at all if it one Best Animated Picture. I think it would be amazing if it was nominated for Best Picture! If Beauty and the Beast can, so can this.

If it dosent win best picture I'll be pissed.
It's easily taking best animated, it should go all the way in my opinion.

I'm going to see this movie again sometime this week.
SO PUMPED!

It's sort of like that with a "Godzilla" aspect. I don't know for me, I just did not care for that movie one bit.

I plan on seeing WallE Thursday! :D

^^ What?!? W/E, everybody has thier own opinion...

But Wall-E was simply amazing! Graphics, Animation, Story, Characters...

The only reason I give it a 9.99/10 is because I would have liked if they showed what earth looked like 100 years later or something... But hey maybe Im being picky, it was amazing!

^Insightful.

If anyone's interested, this movie has a 9/10 rating on imdb.com making it in the top 250 at number 6 and has over 95% good reviews on rotten tomatoes.

When I first saw the trailer for this movie, the first thing that came to mind was the mid-80's movie "Short Circuit" only Wall-E is in animated form.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

^That's one of my favorite movies! I thought I read somewhere that they actually did model Wall-E after Number 5's design.

And Wall-E was a great movie. I may go see it again.

I haven't seen it yet, but I may go see it because I used to like robots and stuff (like BattleBots) a while back.

Also, a real Wall-e was made for promotional purposes and toured around some areas. Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As7UQtKX ... re=related

I really got to say that I did not like this movie at all. It was a very boring movie that was nothing like the trailers made it look like. The humor always seemed out of place, the message you had to dig way too far to find. Even when I did find it, it seemed to be preachy.

All in all I feel like the movie was one of those ones where like Donnie Darko or Napoleon Dynamite. Everyone will talk about how X was so amazing and how Y was beyond everything else. Then there's the other people who just flat out don't get it.

You didn't like Donnie Darko? For shame.

And I disagree. It's totally unlike those two. WallE is widely accepted and understood. If a two year old can fallow it, the majority of the world can follow it.

They're saving that for Wall-E 2. But seriously, Wall-E was an awesome movie! I couldn't stop laughing when he had the spork and rubiks cube. Priceless!
