What should replace Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

^^ Wow I think DejaVugurl1203 said it right and everyone should just stop complaining. I also agree that a Proslide Rocket, like Deluge at SFKK, would be awesome and I would go pay to ride it.
poor wolfie rip :(( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!

Yeah, I do want my park beautiful but Great America does go overboard sometimes. The only thing that upsets me is that they continue to slack off in so many areas. First of all, American Eagle does NOT need such a long line to get to the station. What it does need is a flash pass entrance. Every ride should have that. The price is too high on those things for any coasters not to be included. The park should also spend less money expanding Hurricane Harbor and paint the rides in desperate need of new color...Iron Wolf and the water ride clones. Liven up the park and areas that have been neglected. I will say this, I would wait another year or two for a new ride if the park itself got some TLC. Get rid of Deja's old posts and lines. Those should have been out weeks ago. They are not needed. The same thing for the old lines leading to SWF. They would not cost a lot to be thrown out and would make it more acceptable to see the old stuff all gone. Stop investing so much money in flops like Spygirl and try to make the park more accessible from one area to the next. I would rather have Great America do any of these things than a new coaster yeah. It just does not seem like it will happen. The Sunday Night Concert Series are not needed but make sure the talent stays legit and not people the GP will not know who it is. Do something with the big ugly grey box...make it black at least to go along better with the entrance.

I agree with Onyxhotel08 again, get rid of Vu's posts, SWF's posts, the stupid stuff for Spygirl, and think of shows that wouldn't be such a bust like Spygirl. I also agree AE and Viper and Demon should have flash because you're paying what 35 bucks for Flash Pass and it only includes what 6 or 7 of the 12 yes i know we have 13 with AE blue but you get what i'm saying.

^^ While you may not know it, but the line for Eagle can in fact get lengthy (and it usually occurs at the end of Read to Succeed/Fright Fest) and they had to make up for the lost queue house.

How can they spend less money expanding HH when they haven't actually expanded anything? Tornado had been planned since '05 but they waited until '06 to add it? As of now, everything is speculation and nothing has been made known yet.

The next thing that irritates me I guess, is the fact that there are people out there who have never actually been to another Six Flags park to know how good we have it at Great America...I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but perspectives usually change once people find out about other parks and their operations. Which leads me to the point that the park can't do everything at once...it would be nice to not have the posts/queues for SWF and Vu, but is it really hurting anyone at the moment besides being an eyesore? Realize the park has a list of "to-do's" and there's only so much time to get things done. And the list constantly grows everyday where somethings take the back burner to tackle something more important. While it looks like an eyesore, I'm certain that there are more crucial things that need to be done prior to removing some posts and queue lines.

Yeah, I just hope the lines for Deja Vu and SWF are all gone by the end of the season/ I don't wanted to be reminded of the 2 best coasters and water rides next season. Good post.

well have a look at this.....

screamscape.com wrote:2009 - New Attraction - Rumor - (6/28/08) A reader taking a ride on Batman noticed some land survey people checking out the former Déjà Vu site. At this point we can only assume that they’re planning something for this site in 2009… which goes along with another new update claiming that the previously rumored Hurricane Harbor expansion may not take place in 2009 after all.

watch the next update be something about getting a 12 acre expansion to HH and a new attraction (in vu and SWF site)

^^ I completely agree with you.

It seems like six flags has been concentrating on Hurricane Harbor the most.

I mean, look at the commercials, they talk most about HH.

Really, 'm sick of the talk about HH.....I go for the thrills!

I bet the station is still not done and yeah the platform needs to be there cause you know the reputation. Silverwood hopefully will get their moneys worth. A coaster with problems that have happened every year will not magically be fixed because it moves to another park. The only reason I think they thought it was worth buying (reported total coast including installation 4 million) is that they wanted the publicity it will bring and the thrill seekers who will be checking it out. It does not fit in their park style wise. Will a small park be able or willing to fork over the money needed to do "rehab" stints ala Six Flags Magic Mountain?

County Fair was the perfect place for it. The towers looked awesome where they were. Maybe once they paint it? Hopefully next year it will not be blue and green.

First, Vu is your baby? You gave birth to a machine? Anyways, Vu is gone and not coming back and never will. You will have to ride one of the three remaining somewhere in the world cause you will probably never see another one be built unless someone buys SFOG's. Second, time you tell you what will be coming to the park next year, along with that, why should it matter, shouldn't you all enjoy this season before worrying about next year cause come closing day, it'll be all sad that the park is closed and won't be able to return for half a year. Just get over Vu and just wait for the park to say something about next year. It is not a bad thing to speculate, but to spend so long and hard thinking about it, it's not worth it. If there are physical signs and land surveyers, then that might be a good clue to what may come and wouldn't hurt to follow that. I'm just saying, no matter what you say here, the park can give a crap cause they are the ones in charge trying to make everyone happy, not just a small group of "thrill seekers" you call yourselfs. Last I remember thrill seekers enjoyed smaller and bigger coasters, waterslides and good flats, which the park has plenty of. Those complaining, you should go to SFKK for the year and come back and let us know how it is with 2 coasters being SBNO and not nearly as many rides as we have with a tiny waterpark. Just stop complaining, this isn't a thread to complain in, it's a thread of what should replace Deja Vu and SWF, just like the title says.

At this point as long as something replaces them I will be happy. If they leave it empty it will be a giant waste of space.

The old SWF area will be getting a Thomas Town kiddie area and the DV spot will be where the relocation of the Go Kart track goes so they can expand HH further.

All this to please you thrill seekers in 2009.

^Where did you get this info???

Plus, you can't just "Relocate" Go-Karts.....Cement is hard to move, they would have to re-pave the entire thing.
