I figured they'd do something more with that train, the Blue and Red trains off Shockwave were only about 2-4 years old when Shockwave was torn town, pratically brand new. Yellow train consisted of original cars from the first set of 4 trains and probably should have ended up as spare parts at best.

Ahh so NOW I see where that topic on TPR came from.
It was from an event called West Coast Bash, so of the 300 people there this picture was bound to be taken. Thats Jahan giving us a tour of the defunct SF ride vehicles, and yes it's a coach from Shockwave. Its it crap shape, but that's to be expected.

I took this photo on the first of June. I haven't seen the thread on TPR, but this is my photo. Someone else could have taken a similar shot at the same time. Jahan of SFMM was explaining how they had been using vehicles from Gurnee's Shockwave for parts. They have been doing the same with vehicles from Astroworld's XLR-8, too. I have more photos of an XLR-8 car, too, which was also on display.
UPDATE: I looked around and the photo on TPR is the first one on this page. Note that Jahan is wearing completely different clothes, is standing next to the car instead of off to the side, is looking in another direction, and there are several other people in that photo, whereas in MY photo, Jahan is the only person seen.
^Uh nobody was dobuting that you took the picture, I was just commenting on a thread on TPR asking if that photo was from the site or not. Jahan's a good guy, we're pretty good friends, hope the tour was as good as it was at WCB.
Just wondering, how did you get a chance to go back there? Was there an event or something?

You weren't. But someone else was...enough to open a thread on TPR asking for an investigation. I would never rip off someone's photo and try to pass it off as my own and I don't really like the suggestion that I did. Anyway, the photo is on my flickr.com photostream with the EXIF data, which correlates with the EXIF data of the photos before and after it in the photostream. And I can produce the camera RAW image file of the original.
About the tour, it was excellent. It was part of ACE Day.
there was extra land behind shockwave, they could have built superman there isnstead of taking down a world record breaking roller coaster!!! but they might have plans for some other coaster.
