Alright, warning ahead to those that do not want to see, hear or know anything about Toy Story Mania at DHS that just opened.
We got to DHS at 8:45 ready to ride Toy Story Mania, got a fastpass then rode so we could do it twice and leave. So we got in and saw Mr. Potato Head, very amazing AA, though only saw him for 5 minutes. Now to the ride, this thing is sweet. First, the ride is very different from Buzz, as it tells you what the point values for each target is and the games are gimmicky but a lot of fun. It is much easier to tell what you are shooting at as there are two people per screen and different colors. The end is the best with rapid fire, shot as fast as you can, which is ridiculous as it hurts your arm really bad when doing this. First ride, got 138,600 and second got 155,000. The 1 month high score is 311,000, must have been an Imagineer. Pictures will be uploaded at a later date.
In between this, we rode Star Tours which was nearly 10 minutes. We did this in spirit of Star Wars weekends at DHS this weekend, lots of kids dressed as characters and many storm troopers scattered in the park. Then we left DHS for EPCOT.
First thing at EPCOT is Soarin' fastpass, which we got at 10:06 and a return time of 1:36, which is really short return time. So we went over to Figment, rode that with a walk on. Then went to Mission Space, rode that with a walk on. We ate at Germany's buffet, which the desserts ROCKED! Then got Test Track fastpasses and went to Soarin'. We rode Maelstrom in there somewhere. By the way, the parks were rather empty, Soarin maxed out at 45 minutes. We rode SSE and watched 2U play, which it is Summer Sound-Alike concert series at EPCOT, so they had 2U being U2. Then Illuminations and then back here.
Pictures will be linked and uploaded later as I am going to go for now for an early departure for BGT tomorrow.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Now queue line pictures, which was very well done.
Hidden Mickey
There is much more to see in the queue line than just that, I wasn't able to take pictures of everything with my cell phone camera.
Not many on-ride photos, only have the practice round picture and the scores I got.
And that's all I will share, this is a must ride attraction, but the line will get insanely long very quick. Also, Fastpass did run out everyday around 11:30am to 12:00pm, and the line is usually around 90-110 minutes at that time. This is something that you should do bright and early as the first otherwise, you will be waiting a long time. Another thing is that you will not be able to see Mr. Potato Head from the fastpass/single riders line, which they will close single riders line if the long gets too long as fastpass and single riders share the same entrance.
Thanks for stopping in.
