Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Interesting to see. Thank God its finally being banned...that ride is a death trap...Anyways, they most likely collapse because of structural failure. Chance Morgan lists that a Maximum 8 adults at a time to keep the ride balanced. This most likely isn't taken seriously by ride staff across the country.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

I think its pointless...if people would take care of there rides and follow the manufacture specs then most of these accident wont happen.

But its a chance ride. There Slogan "There is a chance that you may not come of this ride alive".

I couldn't get the video to load. Does it actually show the thing collapsing?

The Chicago Transit Authority has their version of TDK. The GREEN (Joker) Line had a derailment this afternoon. There were 56 people on board. But because it's Chicago, 217 people were transported to local hospitals for injuries. :P

I request an explanation on what makes the Chance YoYo a death trap. Exactly how many people have died on a Chance Made YoYo?

I'll bet $50 that quadruple that figure have died/been hurt on Wave Swingers identical to what operates at SFGAm.

It must be balanced within the average weight of 8 adults. The ride is designed to run just fine with a full load of what the ASTM calls the average adult. It's no different than any other ride, including most at SFGAm. Balance is essential to the operation of most flat rides.

Also the ban is temporary, as soon as findings are released on what caused the CA accident and any repairs made if necessary, the ban will be lifted in IL.

So yeah, I'm still waiting for that explanation of what makes Chance YoYo's a death trap.

While I wait but don't keep my hopes up for a worthwhile explanation, the IL ban on Yo-Yo's has been lifted.

Windy City Amusements has a real nice YoYo, it's the one from Santas Village that they refurbished. Useless tidbit of info in case anyone comes across it.
