Crew of 2008

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

It might be a little too early for this, but I have heard that SUF crew is barley stacking... I really hope they keep up the great work, because SUF is very popular ride.
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!

No crew was worthy of praise this past weekend.

I think most employee's were high energy, which is good. They're just out of their first operating weekend, give them a couple of weeks before we tear them to shreds!

High Energy? The Viper crew could've easily fallen asleep during the morning hours. They were that inept. I can't blame them though, they was never more than 3 people in the station, maybe half the trian was full. The only crew that did even sort of okay on Sunday was Superman. But like tsalas said, let's not rip these people to shreds....yet.

Agreed completely.

Just because it's opening weekend doesn't give them an excuse to slack off. They should have been on top of things a lot better. Batman's crew was slow getting restraints checked, and SUF's crew was actually slipping quite a bit throughout Sunday.

Lets just see how it goes during peak season...

I didnt see any new employees getting trained like last year which was good. I remember opening day last year they were training lifeguards on Iron Wolf. One of the guards did the "all clear" when there was an Op and someone just stepping off the ride. Then they released the seats up when they were a foot away.

If you let them slack off, they will quickly take it as being an 'accepted' pace. It is better to make them work hard now, and keep them at that level than to try to do it later when they feel like they had been working 'fast enough' before.

That is exactly right.

I'm going to agree that opening weekend kinda sucked as far as the crews go. Viper crew was rather lethargic on saturday, they were better on sunday though.

this past weekend, including physics day went well though. Raging Bull crew worked fast and effective. Batman crew wasn't bad, there were a few incidents, but not much

Viper crew on the other hand was phenomenal compared to their opening day. very energetic, very quick paced. The operators did amazingly over the microphone. there were some pretty amusing sayings that one operator would do. im hoping he works more often, Viper is already my favorite ride, having this cat having some fun with it will only make it better. make sure to check this guy out.

^Is his name Vick?

When i was there this past Saturday, I thought Eagle's crew was doing a decent job. They were announcing open rows instead of sending the train and getting people excited to ride quite well. We'll see how the rest of the year goes though....

I love it when the crew gets so into it, those are the one's that you only dream of having when waiting in line. Those are the one's that keep you awake in line, and you don't want to just lay and take a nap from walking all day. Great station crews = a heck of a lot of fun at SFGA!

C'mon crew, get it together, you are part of making SFGA fun for us too!!!

So for those of you who went on memorial day weekend, who was the best crew for the weekend?

I gotta say eagle, they were awesome fast fun and they didn't have it easy.

superman was slow and lazy, and viper was decent

Right now SWT has the best crews. Viper was running good and Bull was hitting the perfect interval nearly every time. The one time they didnt was during a position switch and a guest problem. Even with guest issues, they were nearly hitting the perfect interval every time. With Dark Knight, you cannot judge them yet as they are starting to train the everyday employees on it. Also that ride pretty much runs itself.

^Agreed.

When I went a week ago, I noticed Bull was stacking for a set, then right after that, they got right back on sync with how it should be.

Bull crew is definitley a lot better than in the past this year.
Hope they keep it up!

Great ? ViperVick,

I would have to say that Raging Bull had the best crew, especially at the end of the day. The worst would have to be Superman because they did not really say much. I would also like to say that Viper was pretty good!!! The guy who was working the buttons and microphone was extremely entertaining!

Guess I'll comment on some crews.

TDK was being extremely efficient throughout the day, also keeping strict to the loose article policy.
SUF has the best crew its had since 2003 in my opinion. Trains are flying through that station. (pun)
I can't say anything about Bull crew yet because they have yet to operate with three trains. But by the looks of it they should be just fine.
Viper crew has a lot of enthusiasm, but the loading times still aren't too impressive.
