Haven't been to the park at open in a long while. What time do they open the lots? Do they allow tailgating? If I tailgate, can me or my party walk up before hand and get tickets to the parks?

When I used to go before the gates opened, they opened usually around 9ish. I haven't been there for gate opening besides on opening day, and I didn't even pay attention to what time we got in.
2006 visits: 20

As far as I know, you're allowed to picnic and tailgate so long as you don't take up any additional parking spaces or endanger safety in any way. Expect Shapiro to charge $5.00 next year for the right to tailgate.
Opening day the lot was opened at 9:00 AM
All you have to do is if your in the park get your hand stamped and then go to your car and eat, they don't care!
