Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

It just needs to be refurbished. I think the ride is fun once it gets going even though its not for long.

I just think that it has to be gotten ridd of and replaced. The ride is only open 3 days a week. I know all you Marriot people are about to get mad because they allerady got rid of a bunch of old rides, but i was mad about Sky Whirl, Cajun Cliffhanger, and Power Dive, but i could care less about the fun machine. The teacups, East river crawler, Fiddlers Fling, and Triple play are all practically the same thing as it only better.

i dont get to really expirence the ride since its about less then a minute long  and its not worth sitting in the seats for about 5 minutes waiting for the ride op to check all the locks...it ridiculous, i really dont care what they do to it.

if u think about it, theres room for a ride to the right of vertical velocity. theres water there but i think they could drain part of it and block the water from getting there or they could just build over it. the only bad part to put a ride there would be that it could be hard to get to because of the small shops and restaurants there and they would block the view and/or the entrance. what u guys think?

I kind of like that lake/pond thing by Vertical Velocity though... It adds to the atmosphere, especially when you're waiting for V2 and the line is a bit longer...

The lake is the center of Hurricane Harbor. It IS Hurricane Harbor.

I heard from my ride op friend that we were gonna have a ride underground sometime in the next 5 years.
At least we still have one arrow looper.RIP ShockWave (sitting there waiting for me to take it)

I highly doubt that, it would be too expensive, and too high to maintain. You can say we have 12 rollercoasters, becuase American Eagle Red and Blue are two different lengths and one is running forward and one is running backwards. The next ride will be: a floorless, shockwave, or something we have not ever seen before. I can see Picnic Groove being revamped to add a new scenery area, Change the eating areas into a food court, Wilderness theater could stay, and fianlly to have people rent out places to eat....well lets just put that next to the extra land next to S:UF.

1. Shockwave will not be rebuilt. End of story, stop bringing it up everybody.2. Underground rides are possible. Alton Towers dug a 100 foot hole for Oblivion, and a giant trench for Nemisis. It's possible to do. Hell, we've already dug an 8 foot hole for Raging Bull. :lol:Since you revived this topic, I'll say what I think is going to happen. According to RCDB, Six Flags has bought Tidal Wave from PGA. No park in the chain could really use it. Maybe SFNO or a non-branded park, but otherwise, it's kind of useless. Almost every park has an equivalent coaster, and if they don't, they are usually within 150 miles of one who does. So, they should send it to SFGAm, get really clever and slip it into Yankee Harbor, and call it Tsunami. I know, stupid, but honestly, it is more likely than them rebuilding Shockwave.

Hopefully they want to bring it to GAM becuase it was an orignal Marriott ride and would make a great addition, to the park. They could sneek it in behind Roaring Rapids, or put it in Picnic Groove.

What i think SFGAM needs isnt a new roller coaster at all ,even though i do love roller coasters. What they need is a ride that can be enjoyed by almost everybody, with maybe a 36/40 inch height limit. What they need is a interactive dark ride, something on the order of scooby doo at SFT STL, but much better.I would get ride of the go-Kart track and Space Shuttle America and build a indoor interactive ride, you could easily use a superheros type theme or bugs bunny or maybe the King Tut theme used in a oversaes Six Flags park. What ever the theme is i think this would be a great addition to a park that has done nothing but remove rides and replacew them with a 54 inch height limit.

English please. :lol:But if you look how Six Flags parks has been devloping over the years, mahorly it has only been coasters. I see the only way we would get a new flat would be if we got a new theme area.
