They are free, they just didn't pay for the models without the bill collectors.

^ I'm not sure about this whole "free" thing. The one I looked at on Saturday (I think it was the one in Yankee Harbor) had a sign that it would be x amount of money for 15 minutes. There was also a warning, in red letters on the unit to inform you not to leave your phone unattended, and that the park would not be responsible if it was lost or stolen while on the charger.

I did not take a picture of the sign, but next time I go, I'll get one.

However, I did not see a place on the unit to insert money into. So, if they are suppose to be free, why have the sign to insert money?

There are cords for all different type of phones there.

I just looked at the company who makes these charging stations, and it says on it that they are all FREE and they do not plan on charging money. The sticker that is on it is wrong. They make their money by putting Advertisements on the stations and on the TV that can play ads with sound. They have it setup so that it can play 15 min of ads once you plug in your phone to charge it. In fact Six Flags most likely got paid money to put these charging stations in there theme parks.

Here is the webiste if you want more info on how to use it: http://generalcharge.com/

From what i've been told, they won't always be free, but they are in a kind of test and adjust period right now, come later this year they are supposed to be 2$.
