PROM NIGHT- meh, i have mixed opinions on it. The story is that this teacher is obsessed with this student of his and goes psycho trying to find her. The first minute of it gets right into it where he kills the family and is locked up for three years. Then they go to prom, people get licked off one by one, she gets back to the house and narrowly escapes.... of course. Basically your classic stalker film but with the setting of prom night. I'm not saying it was all super bad but nothing special by any means. Its a good date movie though.... trust me lol. 7/10

Forgetting Sarah Marshall: Another incredible movie!!! Hysterically funny, there were definitely almost tears in my eyes. However, i must point out to all the parents out there, there is a decent amount of male frontal Nudity, which caught the theater by surprised cause it showed everything (which is odd for movies it seems) and it was within the first couple minutes. Other than that, it's your classic Judd Appatow movie! I'd say it was the best of the Knocked Up and 40 year old Virgin category, but i'm still a Superbad fan! Oh, and for those who have seen this, since when did Mila Kunis get hot?!?! I was like, that's soooooo not Meg! 5/5

Fully agree. I would go so far as to say great movie, and easily the best of the superhero movies to date. That say's alot from me since I am not that big of fan of Iron Man, and consider the original Superman movie to be the best until now. Robert Downey Jr was perfect. Jeff Bridges was perfect, and Paltrow was perfect. What an awesome movie, and it does now stand at the top of the list of my favorite superhero movies.

5/5

Next up............Speed Racer

Just saw Hot Rod on DVD. HAlarious.

Yes it is VERY STUPID, but before you watch these kind of movies, you have to expect stupidity. So look past that and its halarious!

I hate when critics freak out because a movie like scary movie, hot rod, or superbad is stupid and they give it a terrible review. WHAT DO THEY EXPECT?!?!?!

^ Thats why I never listen to critics. In the end, it's all about what you like, not what they think. Case in point, Speed Racer. I loved the movie. Loved the cartoon as a kid in the mid 70's, and thought the movie was pretty much a live version cartoon. I would wager to bet that more than half of the critics never even saw the cartoon. In fact, the critics who gave it positive reviews, watched the show. Sure it's no Iron Man, but it is not meant to be.

Prince Caspian was as good as it looked in the trailer. It was a tad bit long but the fight scenes were really cool. The scenery was beautiful and the story was really good. I read the book so long ago I forgot a few spots but I would recommend seeing it you liked the first one, this one is better then the first. Go see it. 5/5

Rented Christine on Sunday and watched it tonight, instantly became one of my favorite horror movies.

Too tired/lazy to post the plot, so here's the Wiki article:

Indiana Jones I haven't seen the other ones so I was slightly confused I know they were after some crystal skull but that's about all I got pretty much. Harrison Ford is really starting to show his age I mean geez, Cate Blanchett was a little weird in this film not the best I've seen her. Shia was ok too I guess but all in all the movie itself was really good. I liked it and would recommend it even though I never saw the others. 5/5

I have two reviews...

What Happens in Vegas - I thought this movie was really funny. It also made me want to go to Vegas for my 21st birthday even more. I think Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher were both great in these roles. 4/5

and if anyone cares...

Sex and the City - Very sad at parts, and very well done. I don't really have any major complaints besides a few of the characters having slower stories than others. 5/5

I've seen a lot of movies lately, so here we go...

Indiana Jones - Amazing.

You Don't Mess With A Zohan - Pretty damn funny... I loved it.

The Love Guru - I enjoyed this a lot. It was really funny and cute.

Wanted - Amazing. Loved how it was filmed in Chicago. Angelina Jolie is now one of my favorite actresses.

Incredible Hulk - A-maz-ing. I love Liv Tyler, she did awesome. I had trouble staying awake though, I've been so tired lately... but it was amazng. I loved the scenes with Betty and the Hulk.

May even see Hancock tonight!

Kung Fu Panda I'm a sucker for animation movies so I went to go see it with my mom. I really liked it because I like Jack Black. He is hysterical as Po. The story was really good, if you go see it you'll know what i'm talking about. I don't know what everyone thought of it but I liked it. 5/5

Hancock

Last night I went to see an advanced screening of Hancock.

In this movie Will Smith plays the superhero nobody likes. He drinks to much, causes to much damage and Is a sarcastic badass.

This movie was one of the best movies I have seen In a while, The onliners that Smith has in this movie is great, and While the plot is a little light in the 2nd half of the movie it still was very enjoyable.

This movie is NOT recommended for children and im actually quite surprised at the PG-13 Rating, especially with the language and a very violent ending.

I definitely recomend this Movie and give this movie

Image 3 1/2 Stars out of 4. Excellent Movie and will most certainly purchase this one once it comes our to DVD.

Summer movies thus far:

Don't Mess with the Zohan: Freakin hysterical! I don't care if you hate Adam Sandler, this movie is funny!!! 4/5

The Happening: I've never hated a movie more for acting and music. Horrible as it gets in both categories. The plot was nonfictional (believe it or not) for the most part and it was a really great idea for a movie, just crappily produced :( I still enjoyed it somewhat though 3/5

Wanted

Image

So it was the 4th of July, had a fantastic day with family and friends and after the fireworks (and shooting off our own fireworks afterwards) we were all just a little bored. Luckily my buddy Matt is a manager at the movie theater in town, so at midnight we all rendezvoused there to watch Wanted.

I really didn't expect much of this movie going in, but for what its worth, it kept me awake until 2AM after a very long day, so thats saying something I think. The twist at the end made me laugh and think "Star Wars much?" but thats okay. All said and done it was a fairly badass movie, and when the credits rolled I thought to myself "This is almost how I felt after I watched 300 for the first time."

My advice, go see this movie and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Wall E Oh my gosh, this was the cutest movie ever. I loved it so much. I think it might beat Monsters Inc because the storyline was outstanding and the animation was amazing. I would so recommend this movie for everyone, really a great movie. 5/5

Hancock - Good movie. Go see it. It's very interesting, and quite surprising. There was one point I found weird, and in my mind I had this crazy idea about something... I was sure I was wrong. I ended up being right... wow. Haha that probably made no sense.

Hellboy 1 and 2 - I watched the first Hellboy with my boyfriend right before going to see Hellboy 2 in theatres. I must say I had no interest in this movie before watching it. But I usually end up liking every movie I watch. I liked the first one a lot, but 2 was MUCH better. It was filled with more action and it was just so cute between Hellboy and his girl, forgot her name... anyways, go see it.

Next review is going to be FRIDAY!!! *gets pumped for TDK movie* :D

The Dark Knight

I just saw the Dark Knight in IMAX last night in Orlando (as a guest of The Joker). This is THE way to see this film. I've been anticipating this film since early last year while the movie was filming in Chicago. The city looks awesome in this movie. And there are no words to describe the Joker in The Dark Knight. Whenever he's on-screen, it's just amazing. The theater filled with 400 guests were awe-struck.

I've seen the trailers/clips and thought I'd seen too much of the film ahead of time, but boy was I wrong. There were still plenty of surprises throughout the movie, and the Joker's phrases/words in those trailers became much clearer.

Now, this is by no means a perfect film. There were parts of the movie that lagged, but still I left wanting more.

EVERYBODY will be talking about the 'magic trick'. RIP Heath.

I'll be checking out the film again Friday, in a non-IMAX screen, but clearly IMAX is the way to go with The Dark Knight. I can't wait to see the box-office tallies for the opening weekend come Sunday.

I'll put in my quick two cents...

THE DARK KNIGHT was amazing.
EXCEPT FOR THE END.
Because we did not get to see the end (probably the last 5-10 minutes).
It was running in 4 different theatres at a Loews Theatre. From what I have heard, only two of the four actually finished. The other two got shut off!
I have no idea what happened. But at least they had the decency to give us free passes.

Amber were you at Country Club Hills?
because I know theatre 15 finished. :)

but in all seriousness. (haha pun)
this is the best movie I've seen this year so far, probably ever as of right now.
Heath Ledger did such an amazing job. I can't even describe it. The voice, the movements, the facial expressions. It was PERFECT. God Bless Him.

You all need to go see this movie.

Just got done going to see the early morning showing and it is everything it's hyped to be.

You may not like the coaster but you will like movie.

It's 2.5 hours long and it didn't seem that long at all.

Heath Ledger played the Joker perfectly and little did I know Two-Face did appear but Harvey Dent had the longer role.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Dark Knight Oh my gosh, this movie was amazing. Heath Ledger was amazingly good. It did lag in a few spots and you could clearly see things like "Street of Chicago" signs and street signs like Lasalle and Monroe and stuff like that, did anyone else notice that? Anyways it was a good movie, dark but very good. 5/5
