Deja Vu, or whatever you wanna call it now, I hear will be all gone by Thursday. Anyway, so cool to see it that close. Thanks for the pics but I am a bit mad at all those people for being there and not me. How many people were there Saturday? Was the park closed today (Sunday)? How much do companies spend for a buyout?

Good chance thursday but definately Saturday! Sad to see a coaster from sFGAm to go, but I never like Vu that much anyways. The park will definately look different and empty without it!

However it comes down, do it the exact opposite (in most cases) to put it up.

/\ Not necessarily, the towers may have been taken down last due to interference of the other ride parts. But I do believe that the pieces closer to the ground will rise first. The coaster may really be assembled in anyways, just have to do it strategically, as you don't want to install a piece that will have to be removed to install another piece. It all deals with the interference of track. This coaster though, the station should be put up before the loop, the rest is a matter of where they position the crane to build the coaster.

^ I hear ya man. Yesteday I was remembering how frigging amazing that ride felt. How amazing it was to go through the cobra roll and see Raging Bull; how awesome it was to get stuck on my favorite ride, 3 times.

As disappointed that I am that Vu is no longer at GAm, I really think that it will be a good coaster for Silverwood. I hope it works better for them than it did for us...

Alright, only place I could post this without making a new topic.

To ANYONE that has posted any deconstruction pictures, if you posted one, or forty, you still need to read this.

Since the start of the deconstruction, I've been saving all of the pictures for a video once the ride is completely gone.

I was hoping I could get permission from all of you to use these pictures, and put your names in the credits. If you've posted any pictures, please PM me with a decision on usage, and your name.

Thanks!

This actually goes for any of the pictures that I've posted to the site. I don't care if someone else users them, just give credit to where its due.

Yea, I saw it today and there is the first lift hill only, just like 10 feet of track.

By 2009/2010 I bet all I haev Magic Mountain will say bye-bye to Deja Vu. SFMM seems to taking out what is not working this year so I'm sure DV is next. Theirs goes through a costly "rehab" EVERY year.

The cobra roll is far from done. Right now the main supports are up and 2 track sections are mounted.

I'd hate to say it but it looks like it fits in pretty well at Silverwood.

I think the park might try to add a new coaster in the old DV/SWF area in the future. They can always move stuff around and even Batman: The Ride does not occupy THAT much space. I would hate another kiddie ride though; games/stores, etc. would also be a disappointment. With Wiggles, Camp Cartoon and The Dark Knight Coaster, we have more than enough stuff for families. Now give something for us thrill seekers...SFMM's Tatsu! Goliath! X2!

Seems the rumor has been that a B&M dive machine will be occupying that spot for the 2009 season. We can only hope that it will be something like that.
