Getting to Great America by bike yesterday was brutal with the wind. I got there around 9:30am and the sun finally came about 9:45.
Got in and waited till 10 then ran to Bull, only to find out it is closed.
So from there I proceeded to Vu to get pics of it then proceeded to V2. I got to V2, which had pretty much no lines, then I get on and find out the restraint won't fit me. So, I got off and got some video of V2. After that I went to Batman thinking, "maybe it's just cause V2 has a small train". Got to Batman and found out the same thing, restraint wont fit me... The buckle was really close to and I tried my hardest to push the restraint into me but failed. So, now I can't ride my 2nd favorite ride. At this point I was in a bad mood but it was at myself not the park cause it is my fault I am overweight. So from there I got pics and video of Batman then went to Ragin Cajun. Waited like 15mins and got right to the station when what do you know, they close it due to the winds. So, now I was really considering going home because my morning had just been an epic fail. From there I went to get pics of The Dark Knight then decided to go see if I could go on Demon. Got to Demon, filmed the ride from the queue line then got on the ride. Amazingly, I fit in the train! Demon ran great and I had an amazing ride on it. The Demon crew was amazing and definetly enthusiastic about their job. They made the experience way more enjoyable!
After that I got more video and pics of Demon from outside the ride then headed to Viper. I was able to ride Viper as well, although barley fit in the seat
, but I still was able to ride! Viper ran as great as I remembered it from 2 years ago and since I was in the very back seat, the airtime was amazing. The crew of Viper was as amazing as the Demon crew. They both ruled that day! After that, I headed back up to Hometown Square to get my pass processed. The lines were LONG but there were employees going through the line getting the people out that just needed a pic taken. So I only stood in line for like 20mins. While in line, Wizzer broke down twice so I wasn't able to get on Wizzer that day cause of that and it's long lines. So, after getting my pass proccessed I went to see if I could ride Sky Trek tower and it was closed due to the winds. So at that point I was just tired, had massive headache, and my throat hurt due to the cold winds from that morning so I left. On my way out I took pics of The Dark Knight building.Overall it was an alright day. I was happy I got to ride the 2 coasters I did so it wasn't a total waste of a day. I also never got to ride my favorite coaster Raging Bull either due to the winds.
