Six Flags Thrilleaders

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby bigb7965 on March 18th, 2008, 7:55 pm
Six Flags has announced that they will have an official Cheerleading Squad for the company this summer, the Six Flags Thrilleaders.

No, this is not a joke. That's what I first thought, anyway. The professional squad will travel to Six Flags parks as "Ambassadors of Thrill," as well as perform at charity and corporate events.

Just like you to critisize it without even giving it a chance or having any idea what the thrilleaders will actually do....

I actually agree that I think it's a terrible and overall pointless Idea, but I'll go to see them when their here, and wait until I've actually experianced it to judge whether or not I think it's executed well.

Another idea I'm sure about. I don't really get the point of why we need Thrilleaders. We'll see how this one plays out.

Going to a theme park isnt the same as going to a sporting event where you have fans rooting for there favorite team, so the concept for a theme park doesnt offer much for cheerleaders to do, unless of course it is going to be eye candy by having half dressed people dancing around. And that does little for a more family theme they are trying to have.

What are the cheers going to be "Disney Sucks"???. "Sea World mistreats the dolphins"??

Hopefully they aren't 75 and dance around in commercials......

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

I agree with you here Bob. But, hey, if they are going to be half dressed cheerleaders jumping up and down cheering "Way to go Viper, way to go" (clap, clap) who am I to argue if it's stupid or not. Then again, if you had your choice for ambassador's to Six Flags, would you take Mr. Six, or a group of cheerleaders?
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

Bob O. would probably pick Mr. Six.

Hey, I am in the camp of if they are hot, bring it on.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I'm suddenly expecting to hear lots of jokes this summer containing the line "Those aren't spirit fingers, these are spirit fingers!!"

^My ride is running 3 vehicles and 900 capacity this year! Yours sucks, it's only putting out 2 vehicles

Bob O, very well written post! Despite the fact that there is a decent chance i'll be enjoying the show the cheerleaders will be putting on, it still goes against their family objective and it still does absolutely nothing to improve the park....

You know what, as long as they are HOT and the skirts are SHORT, I really don't care if it's a dumb idea or not.

Screw the rides, I'll just watch the girls.
