There is oil all over the place, we have a metric shit ton of oil shale in the rockies, its just that it costs more to refine it because of the heat needed.

Ethanol isn't the answer, we know that already, but unfortuantly politics will probably keep ethanol alive for another five years until someone (the president, whomever that may be come November) gets their head out of their ass and admit to the nation that ethanol was a bad idea.

Eventually we're going to have to ask ourselves the question: Do we want to drive cars, or eat?

My dad owns a bakery and because farmers are growing corn to make ethanol the price he has to pay for flour has gone up by almost 300%. If this continues it will cause prices to go up for a lot of things.
