Photo TR: Key Lime Cove, New Waterpark in Gurnee IL

This past Sunday, I decided to take a little tour of the brand new waterpark resort that just opened up here in Gurnee, Key Lime Cove. (Being that I live in Gurnee, I can't see myself staying here all that often, but with the generous Gurnee resident discount, I'm sure I'll try it out soon.)

The Resort from the outside. This place actually has the look of a nicely themed Disney Resort. Kinda like a Caribbean Beach.

The indoor waterpark. Its not huge. YET. They expect to expand to over 100,000 square feet of indoor waterpark eventually.

The Midway features shops and restaurants, nicely themed to a Caribbean Beach atmosphere.

Great detail on all the buildings.

Downstairs, near the entrance to the waterpark is a Huge arcade (didn't get any good pictures) and this Old Time styled Ice Cream Parlor and restaurant.

That's all I got. For those planing on a road trip to Six Flags Great America, be sure to check it out. I am sure I'll be there quite ofter, in the arcade or at the bar and restaurants. Too bad they don't offer one day waterpark passes.[/b]

Nice job on the pics of the waterpark, i haven't actually seen inside there yet. How are the lines and how did the amount of hotel guests fit in relation to the waterpark and it's amount of attraction?
