wow, the loop is completely gone now. I am really going to miss view every time I got to SF now. well at least I did get a POV of it... Ah thats not even enough...
man im sick of six flags doing this
y are they opening these wild mouse rides that make no sense
yea it brings publicity
but who is really gonna stand in like for 2 hours just to go 20 mph
they need to open something big
get rid of the wizzer and buy some more land
put in a mega coaster
i know
one good thing
maybe it will free up the lines for v2 and raging bull
think about that
getting on those maybe 5-6 times in the park
superman will still be impossible
but they need another ride to compliment raging bull
man think if X from magic mountain was there
It wouldn't really matter if X (or X2) was here because it has it's own problems which causes it to have a lot of downtime, or not open at all for the day. That is another reason why "X2" is happening.
But yes, if X was in our park, and it was operating on a day, lines for that ride would be quite long
^No we got rid of it because it was horrible downtime, low capacity, and too much to maintain. Shapiro basically said that they are cleaning out all of the park and getting rid of stuff that doesn't work or is old.
Yet I see how taking out Vu will save money. I don't see why they would take out rides when there is no replacement for them. So I see where he is coming from...but it doesn't all make sense.
I know I would rather have a ride like Vu where its run time sucks rather then nothing.
Those pictures make me feel sick. Isn't it weird how much this can affect a park guest. It's almost like losing a best friend. It's such a great ride, maybe ahead of its time. It's to bad that Vekoma didn't get all the kinks out over the time that Great America had it. We might se it in the future with better technology. Bye VU

I initially agreed with the ideology that taking rides out and not replacing them was a dumb move, and to a certain extent i agree with you. However, if the real reason for taking them out is costs (aka, they don't want to run them), demolishing the ride looks much better than having the ride sit dormant all year. At least when it's gone, people won't wonder why the park has closed rides.....
In this case, Six Flags can put up a wall saying that the expansion of the land will come in 09 and then everyone will be happy!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Whizzer is a great ride! Going back to when Superman was built, it'd be hard for me to decide which I'd rather have go (Shockwave or Whizzer) Whizzer is awesome, but I would have loved the opportunity to ride Shockwave. I guess I'll have to head out to the east coast...
Shockwave was an awesome coaster. I was really sad to see it go. If I had to pick between Superman and Shockwave, I so would have chose Shockwave. Sure it did give you a headache a lot of the times but it was so fun that I just ignored that. Superman is a cool ride but it will never live up to what Shockwave was. The closest thing we have to Shockwave now is Demon(same track, same trains, and has 2 elements Shockwave had).
R.I.P. Shockwave.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
