I remember back in the early 80's you had to wait to play the chance games. Skeeball you couldn't even get close to them machines. SF needs to buy smaller and more likable prizes and lower the game prices. $3.00 to play one game is sick. How many times do you walk by and only 2 to 3 people are playing the games. If you lower them to $1.00 and a smaller prize I bet you will have all 10-15 spots taken and many people will play more for the value let alone have people waiting to play. I will not and do not let my kids play any $3.00 game for stupid stuffed animal that ends up in the garage sale or garbage can a year later. Not many kids care how big the prize is but do care about playing and possibly winning.

Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!
most of that plush that they got is $2-$4 a dozen if not less alot of times, can charge 50 cents for the games, keep the same prizes and still turn profit, though I think they much prefer the profit now having 1/3 the people play for 3x the price

About the game price discussion if that is so that the plushes are that cheap, which it probably is, then it also makes sense to keep it higher priced to play and not have giant lines. That way not as many workers are needed, thus less people to pay and if 1/3 of the people play they would make more like said from the higher priced games and having less workers.
SF's management is on the right track, they will just have to give it more time to take hold. When your parks are known as being a teenager dumping ground, and the parks as being dirty with teenagers running amok it will take several years and several visits from families before postive word of mouth can make a impact and get more families to return.
To induce families they need to add more family attractions, reduce the price of food/soda and increase the quality of food, and strictly enforce the park rules with a no tolerance policy.
I would reduce the parking fee, get rid of the cheat in line scam and increase the season pass price so the parks arent used as a teenager babysitting service. The parks will make less money on a system they have now where seasonpass holder's who pay next to nothing go often to the park, spend little money in the park and increase the wait times for the families who only visit one or two times a year. They need to cater to the families, induce them to return and make them happy guests who will eventually become seasonpass holders, but do so at a higer rate than the current cost of a season pass. The current season pass system increases the yearly number of turnstile clicks but doesnt have as big of a impact on the bottom line which is revenue/profit.
^I agree that they need to increase the quality of food. I was fairly disappointed with how everything tasted. It was mediocre.
However, I disagreee with the season pass price being raised. I think it's perfect right where it's at. If it were any more expensive, I wouldn't buy it. Due to the fact that I live 2 and a half hours away, I can only visit 2-3 times in a season. Since the season pass price is reasonable, I can buy it and take advantage of saving a little money. (although that money is spent on gas getting up there...)
