I agree that the texas parks are both quite excellant...sub par to sfgam in my opinion, but Fiesta Texas was great all around, great friendly staff (a rarity for sf), clean park, well themed, not to mention ghostblasters, and SFOT has a great selection.

-Kentucky Kingdom
-Elitch Gardens ... when it was a Six Flags Park
-New England
-Great Adventure
-St Louis
-America

The Six Flags parks that seem like their worth my time would include
-Discovery Kingdom...theming and that messed up V2
-Magic Mountain for credits and X2
-Over Georgia seems on par with SFGAm in the quality
-Fiesta Texas from all the raving Ive heard about it
-Over Texas it was the first Six Flags

I would go back to SFStL, SFNE, SFGAd, and SFKK

I have only been to SFMM and Ive pretty much had everything to say that Galvin has already summed you up on.

I think the skyline is beautiful. But when you get in[especially in the summer months] it is worse than when SFGam hits overflow. It is so crowded & alot of the coasters run only one train. They say they do it to save power[which I fully inderstand] but not good in the sense of wait times. The entire park felt like a hike, well cause it is. Its all "slopey" and high. The MAJOR thing thta I have never been so disturbed by was how much mice and rats I saw "skid-dattleing" by my feet...AAh ew!

Now I put that all behind me cause their lineup in rides, def. coasters, is really good.

X[now X2] is a must experience. Shaky but awsome.
Goliath-just a great hyper...air is ok. Its that helix finale man.
Scream- great floorless, loved it. of course SFGAd has the same thing.
Riddler- The best B&M standup that Ive been on...Sorry Wolfie, still love you
Deja Vu- c'mon...you like it dontchya? Incredible right? haha...Same goes for Batman.
Superman the escape- six beauatiful seconds of weigtlessness...speed too.
Viper- consecutive looping like our old shockwave. A little rough though, embrace.
Tatsu- havent been on but its a gorgeous & huge B&M flyer. If you like Superman UF, chances are this'll be better.
Revolution- a needed credit due to its history if that makes sense?

See Im a huge thrill person though...the bigger the better & thats mainly why I like SFMM. Park wise, yes it has alot of downfalls sadly but for thrill its amazing.


now I would say/suggest you try SFGAd too...their lineup is sweet as well. I sadly never made my trip this past fall but I hear nothing but positives other than crowds.

SFOG...looks beautiful.

Obviously its your choice...it all depends on what youre into and looking for. All of us here can list a million perks and falls on each park, but Id do some of your own research to know what youll like most.

I have been to a handful of Six Flags parks and I really think based on logic you should go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. If you think about it, if you hit up DK, then you can also convince yourself to head over to California's Great America since both are close by (assuming you're renting a car). Also, the San Francisco Area is breath taking. Plus, if you really want, you could make the drive down Highway One (not at night!) to LA and head over to the So. Cal parks like Magic Mountain. Just my suggestion.

I've been to SFGAm(Every year since 1993). SFFT(1996), SFKK(2001), SFOG(2003), SFMM(1998 and 2004) and SFSTL(2007).


When I went to SFFT, it was when they had just acquired the park(I forget from where but i remember that it was recently purchased from somewhere). The only coasters were the Rattlesnake and Jokers Revenge. The theming was very good but there weren't enough rides back then(even flats). Now I hear it is one of the nicer parks so I can't really judge it based on my visit, maybe one day I can return.

SFKK is fairly small, not really a lot of theming they have alot a packed into the park though I think. Chang was a very good coaster I thought the rest were sort of sub par. Had some good flats from what I remember, this was also a while ago but I don't remember any major changes happening there since then(correct me if I'm wrong).

SFOG is a very nice park. They had the Lo Que system when I was there and we got our season passes there that year and so we got one for free both days we went and it was very cool to be able to go on other rides while waiting "in line." Basically every coaster there is really good except Ninja which was blah. I'd highly recommend visiting SFOG.

SFMM isn't the nicest looking/smelling/operating or anything park but it sure does have a lot of coasters. If you can go there in an off time of the year you will have fun. The two times I went there, the one was at the very end of August when most kids were back in school and the other was my spring break which apparently was not California's spring break because it was empty. As a result both times crowds were at a minimum and surprisingly most rides were open both times. I think the only ride that I was not able to get on was Flashback. Just go there during an off time and you should enjoy it. X is amazing and is worth a 3 hour wait in my opinion.

SFSTL to me was pretty boring. Mr. Freeze is decent and thats about it. Had a couple cool flats. I went on a couple rides and sat by the wave pool and tanned because the park just didn't have many appealing rides to me. Not worth a 5.5-6 hour trip if you were thinking of driving there just for that. On the other hand if your going to go to Busch Stadium too then go because the new one is so beautiful.

SFGAm seems kind of pointless to get into but its prolly the second nicest park based on theming and landscape and things like that besides SFOG. Has well rounded choice for rides.

Overall the best park I've been to is SFOG, it has great theming, great atmosphere, good selection of rides, basically its well rounded in every single aspect.

SFOG loos like it would make a really nice trip. I wont judge a park really until I can judge for myself but my relatives out in Florida have always refused to take me there due to its "dirtiness" & "thug life". Im not kidding. Thats how they sum it up for me. So Ive had alot of chances but never been sadly.

That's not the truth. While downtown Atlanta might be like that I don't know if it is or not, but SFOG is basically quite the distance from the metropolis, and not "ghetto" at all.

I've been to several SF parks, and up until they tore down the Wildcatter freefall ride, Over Texas was my favorite. They have a great collection of classic and new rides and big coasters. The Superman Tower is the tallest launch/drop tower of it's type- over 300 feet tall! I'd take American Eagle over Texas Giant, but Judge Roy Scream is a great wooden coaster. I'm just very disappointed that they took down Wildcatter, which was my favorite ride in the park.

As for looks and scenery, I think it's a toss up between Fiesta Texas and St. Louis. Both are in very nice surroundings, with the cliffs of Fiesta and the wooded hills of St. Louis.

SFOG is very nice, but it seemed very big and spread out to me, almost too big, as some areas seemed dead, while most people were in little pockets here and there. Plus, it's quite a hike from one side to the other when it's a hot and humid Georgia summer.

SFKK is a great little park, that is easy to visit in a day and get a lot of rides in. It may not be as big as some of the others, but what it does have is great! Greezed Lightnin (our old Tidal Wave coaster) makes it worth the drive, plus the Roadrunner wild mouse is fun, Chang is the only stand up coaster that I like, the Penguin river is alot of fun with it's smaller rafts, you're guaranteed to get soaked, and the waterpark is very nicely themed and conveniently placed right in the middle.

Don't forget to ride in the front seat! in my opinion, that dead end track is definitely scarier than the V2 dead end- it feels like you're going to hit it.
