I'm suprised that thing even still runs, it's older than dirt, was a Dorney in the 90's up til like 03 or so, then VF for part of this decade now at CP

The only skyscraper I've been on is the one at Timber Falls and didn't thrill me to much. Hopefully this ones gonna be better! It's higher and faster.

it's a Gravity Works Skyscraper, they are all identical, and this one is actually a bit older than Timber Falls

Oh I guess they are identical. It still didn't thrill me very much though even though I came of the ride with a giant (mysterious) wet spot on the front of my pants.

worth the time? yes, worth the money (usually in the $7-$20 range) no, not really, though maybe if you've never ridden one anything less than $10 and it is probably worth a go.

I perfer the clones myself, those being Fabbri Booster, Zamperla Turbo Force and KMG Speed, out of those 3 best is probably a tossup between Booster and Speed, then I'll put in the gravity works skyscraper, then the lowly bottom spot is occupied by the Turbo Force.

I have been on the one at the Dupage county fair & I had so much fun! As it flips it throws you into the restraints like its flinging you out. I was absolutley terrified...but thats what made it so awsome. Im def. excited.

I wonder if ill have to pay to ride it? haha. No that wouldnt be fair...I guess. 8)

Point is....THESE ARE COOL RIDES. love 'em.

I would think it would feel like an extra large Zipper with less cages and more open air around you (which would scare the crap out of me to be honest)

That is the one carnival ride I ALWAYS want to go on but no one will ride with me! Everyone thinks it looks so unsafe & say theyve tipped over!
I wont ride things alone...I just dont like it. I like sharing the experience with a friend. I rode Dragster alone this summer & had to scream my head off in front row with someones dad. Just felt odd

what topic is this again

^I agree with you. I'd rather ride with someone I know. It's sort of awkward otherwise...

Yeah, It's weird because you go to have a good time yet once you get to the actual ride, you freak out. I always like riding with other people on stuff except Bull.

So I need some insiders confirmation on this one. I was heading home on I 57 last weekend and i saw a truck pass us with part of this same style ride. It also had the same colors as the one from Valleyfair (which i believe is where this is coming from). When it hit I 80, it headed towards Cedar Point. Anyone know if Skyscraper is at Cedar Point as of last weekend?! I want to say I saw, but i'm not sure.

I saw Skyscraper featured on the Travel Channel, and it actually made me consider riding it. I wonder how much it'll cost.
