Well, I've been To St. Louis and it's ok. Smaller than great america but still pretty nice. I've also been to Silver Dollar City which has great theming and scenery but then again, there's only 4 coasters,
(2 that pack a punch) Of course, Magic Mountain's always fun. Great number of coasters.

Exactly and if I'm correct, a few more coasters. Of course, I like Great America better.

what does SFMM have that SFGAM doesnt you ask..

Well that's easy, alot of grime and filth and a ginormus hill in the middle of the park. :)

Also I guess Arrow 4-D or a suspended coaster would be an acceptable response.

Magic Mountain by far. You have alot of variety at that theme park when it comes to the coasters and the thrill rides. I am totally going again to California for that reason (and to go back to arcade infinity).

Depends how much teenage trash you want to deal with. If you go to SFMM on a non-crowded day the park can be a blast, if you go on a Saturday you'll probably committ suicide. SFGAdv is also a great looking SF park when it comes to coasters, but same rules apply. If you go to GAdv though there are other parks around to hit as well if its possible.

Other than SFGAm, I've been to SFKK, SFSTl, and SFEG. Out of those 3, I think St. Louis had the best rides. Mr. Freeze is my 2nd fav coaster to the Bull. Other than Mr. Freeze at St. Louis, they have: The Boss, Screamin Eagle, Ninja, and BTR. The Boss is a very rough ride, but my bro and cousin rode it for the hell of it. Screamin Eagle is a very enjoyable ride, sort of reminds me of AE. Ninja is kind of like the Demon, very fun. BTR is basically the same as ours but it drops the opposite way. SFKK actually also had a nice variety of rides. Greezed Lightnin is a very fun ride, and the time I went there was absolutely no lines in the park. Our max wait was 5min, and that was for Chang to open. Chang is a very fun ride, it's a stand up. in my opinion Chang > IW. Then there's SFEG. Half Pipe was the most fun ride they had there. Coming in second was probably Sidewinder, and then Boomerang.

Those are just the parks I've been to. If I had a choice of a SF i'd want to go to next it'd be SFGAdv.

SFKK-
Pros
-Good ride selection
-Very nice coasters
-a nice down home feel
-water park in the middle of the park
-good food
-a lot of classic rides
***HARDLY EVER A WAIT FOR ANY RIDE!!!!!!!! YOU WILL NEVER WAIT MORE THAN 20 MINUTES!!!!!!!

Cons-
-Extremely dirty.
-a lot of old carny style rides
-a lot of down time on a lot of rides
-most coasters not too smooth

If you dont mind the dirt or roughness, its an exceptional park. I really enjoyed it.

I have been to the following SF parks SFKK, ST STL, SFA, SFGAM.
And of these parks I would say the best is SFGAM, to me it has the best selection of rides, the best behaved guests and the best employees of all the parks i have been too.

While SFMM may have more coaster overall, the park was alot dirter and the emloyee's IMHO didnt care about the job they did.

I think SF STL is very nice and was clean but didnt offer as many show's/rides, and I would say similiar things about SFA, except the crowd was very ghetto and with the security all muscle heads it didnt make for a enjoyable experience.

I have been to the following Six Flags Parks: Great America,Great Adventure, St. Louis, Kentucky Kingdom, Over Texas, Fiesta Texas, Magic Mountain and AstroWorld.

Of that list Astroworld was by far the worst theme park I have ever been too. And we all know how that ended up.

With that said. I will run down the parks listed above and give you a pro/con scenario for you:

Great Adventure:
PROS:
Great selection of coasters. Kingda Ka, Nitro and El Toro definately will make your visit one to remember.

New Batman The Dark Knight, sure Great America will have one too, but still I think these rides will make excellent additions.

CONS:
Terrible layout, this park has some really rough spots in terms of layouts, case in point Medusa is all the way back into a corner and makes for some difficult treks to that section of the park, same for Nitro.

Dirty SFGAdv's backlot section needs a serious face lift, and hopefully they will get it in 2008.

Six Flags over Texas:

PROS:
EXCELLENT selection of coasters, great atmosphere and an all around excellent experience. Titan, BTR, Tony Hawk and of Course MR. Freeze headline this park

CONS:
SHADE! I when to SFOT in the middle of August, and the heat was pretty bad at times, but carry around a bottle of water with you and you should be fine.

Texas Giant is terrible, rode it once and never again.

St. Louis:
PROS:
Great Wooden Coaster lineup featuring Boss,Screamin Eagle and Evil Kenevil.

Great Atmosphere and an all around good experience.

CONS:
Depending on the time of the season you go, Heat and Humidity can be a factor here. Hurricane Harbor quickly fills up as well.

Not really a big deal but Bosses' que line is huge! it will be a little bit of a hike to get to the station.

Kentucky Kingdom:
PROS:
This is a great little park, I dont agree with other peoples assessment of this park, in being dirty or run down. This park has Chang which is one of the best B&M stand ups around (Better then Mantis and up there with Riddlers Revenge at SFMM)

A newly rethemed Waterpark as well. Great little park!

CONS:
See Texas and St. Louis weather assessments.

Fiesta Texas:
PROS:
I loved this park, and you will too... Excellent coasters including Superman Kypton Coaster (One of the world's longest Floorless Coasters) Goliath (BTR Clone) and Tony Hawk. Couple this with an awesome grante quary backdrop make this one of the best SF parks in the chain. The Shows are very impressive as well.

CONS:
Heat! It was a 105 degrees when I went there in August of 2005, very little shade as well.

Magic Mountain:

PROS:
This is the best offseason park to go too, I went there in Feb of 2005 and found pretty much everything open and a walk on! Excellent rides like X2,Goliath, Tatsu, Deja Vu and of course Riddles Revenge await you.

CONS:
I wouldnt go near this park in the summer.
You have to have hiking boots on to climb the mountain of death in the middle of the park.

To Wrap this up, Id make a Texas Trip. Depending how long you have for this trip and if your flying or driving can make this Texas trip one to remember for a long time. Also, SFFT and SFOT are about 3.5 hours from each other so you can definately go to more then one park while you are there.
In addition Sea World is in San Antonio as well.

^^agreed with the heat about st. louis. when i went just this past summer the heat/humidity was unbelievable. every day out of the 4-5 days we were there was easily over 100, sun out all day, and humidity just made it really bad. couldn't be at the park for more than 2hrs really. the heat can really ruin the fun you have at a park. i can't remember a day i've enjoyed at any park i've been too when its really hot.

^ I referred to SFMM as being the best offseason park, meaning since they are open year round, you could really get some rides in and I mean alot

If all you want to do is coasters, then go to SFMM. If you want to do other things besides coasters, DO NOT go to SFMM.

Other then coasters, that park has pretty much nothing else to offer.

An SF park that hasn't been mentioned here yet is SFOG. This is a very well rounded and well run park. Goliath is by far the best B&M speed coaster I have been on (sorry Raging Bull fans). The coaster selection here is great, the flats are decent, they have a dark ride, and they have the restored Riverview from Chicago carousel which looks great.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Although I haven't been to too many Six Flags Parks, Here are some of My Suggestions

Six Flags Over Georgia is supposedly good from what I hear.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is well themed I think.
Six Flags America can be visited in one day. In 2006, I went to the park and rode all the coasters except Great Chase in maybe 4-5 hours. If I went as soon as the park opened, maybe 3-4 hours.

If you have time, You could Try This.

- La Ronde
- Great Escape
- Six Flags New England

All are Six Flags Parks and all accept parking passes.

Just My 2 cents.

My favorite SF park ive been to other than GAm is SFNE, one of the worst selection of coasters for a SF park but a very nice park nonetheless.
