I did feel skeptical about the music change in 2006. Hopefully, the original soundtracks may come back next season.
If that weren't enough, someone on XMfan.com said that the Six Flags park near DC, I think that's Great Adventure, said that the XM channel The Blend played throughout the park. At least I'd rather hear than than Flight 26, XMLM, KISS, or 20 on 20 (sic).
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
The park has grown and changed so much since it opened, the Mardi Gras music always felt disjointed from the park, and the other sections music just got boring and repetitive after 30 yrs. It's still good, but I really think the whole sceme needs to be updated. I would love music specifically scored for the park, but I know that's not going to happen anytime soon. What I really think we need from our music is patriotic music. The Park is called great america, and we get further and further from that theme every year. Play the star Spangled banner, america the Beautiful, Stars and Stripes Forever. And then specific music for each section. (Not 90s, 80s, or 70s crap, but real instrumental bgm). That's why I think.
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!
^^^Aye sir! I'm with you. I'd say keep the original bgm soundtracks (uncut) and add some more songs or muzak slated specifically for the seconds, possibly some songs with vocals. But DON'T THROW OUT THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKS!

And You misundestand me if you think i hate the original score. I don't I have a CD of it in my car. And I wouldn't mind if some of it was kept in an updated score, but I really think the whole system, and playlists need to be updated.

I'd like to give the thread an awakening by this cd I found that contains the Carousel Plaza soundtrack, YES, THE CAROUSEL PLAZA SOUNDTRACK! It is done by the Wurlitzer Organ and called "Come To The Fair". It'll surely make you reminisce about the days of $0.20-a-gallon gasoline! I thought I'd show it to you.
As for the current park soundtracks, some sections are winners and some are losers. Yankee, Yukon, Hometown, and Orleans got a theming again. Plymouth Place still suffers from a vacant building. County Fair and Main Gate changed their soundtracks for the worse. Carousel Plaza is the section with the patriotic music.
Does anyone know who really sings that song for Love at First Fright: Brand New Day?
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Thanks a lot. I can't believe it's a Michael Jackson song. He must have a choir.

Does anyone know what song this is? They are playing it in the park. Some lady is singing it. It's something like this: No matter what they think I will still love you.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
