B:TR vs. Raptor

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby SFGAmfreak4life on September 7th, 2003, 10:45 pm
I personally like Raptor better. I love the speed and the inversions. That cobra roll is so awesome. I love that helix at the end. Dont get me wrong here I love B:TR. Raptor might beat B:TR in my book but it isnt by that much.

It is a pretty hard decision. But I would probably have to say Raptor. It doesn't beat Batman by much, though.

Batman gets the vote in my book... I love Raptor but in my opinion Batman is more intense... I have great respect for B:TR because it hasn't aged at all... Raptor gets 8.7/10 and B:TR gets a 9.

I have to think about this one.... But considering the theming and the way it's all set up, Batman gives a better experience i think. Raptor is cool, i don't know why but i dont like the cobra roll too much on it..... I do agree that Batman seems more intense too.

I think as a ride itself, Raptor is a better ride. But depending on which park you are at, most of the batmans have better themeing and location than raptor. As an example I say the one at Gam with the half helix and turn over the little lake.Layout goes to RaptorRide Experience goes to Batman.

B:TR is more intense which makes it such a good ride. If Raptor was more intense then it would be so awesome beacuse it already has a great lay out.Keep your opinions coming guys and gals.

No. Raptor does not own Batman.Batman gets the nod from me due to rapid fire elements that don't let up.Raptor is a great ride, but it has some dead spots in it. The final helix on Raptor is pretty freakin intense though.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

To me Raptor takes the cake. It's longer, and has better inversions in my opinion... I've never been a huge fan of B:TR... It's good, but there are better rides I think. I like the landscape on B:TR though (ours at least).

Please explain to me how you came to the conclusion that Batman The Ride is one of the worst rides you have ever been on .. I'm curious -- Oh and by the way I liked Raptor more .. although it was an extremely difficult decision.

Raptor is soooo much better than Batman: The Ride!! It's longer, and taller. The front seat on that ride is just incredible. Don't get me wrong, Batman is great, its just so short. It blew my world away when it opened though.

I love the first row on Raptor. I like every row on Raptor better than all the rows on B:TR except the back.

i hate batman because i have never gotten off of it and thought "gee whiz, that was fun." if you want more specific reasons, its too short, too rough, and too fast paced. the elements come and go without ample time to really enjoy them. i dont know, personaly, i think its atrocious, and no amount of great theming can save it.its like the beatles. i give em a load of credit and respect, but when it comes down to it, im not a fan.

I love the entire experience of Batman a ton.. and I like B:TR better! See, I'm not a CP fanboy. I couldn't agree any more with Chitown. B:TR's intensity doesn't let up. You don't hit brakes and screw around for 10 seconds. I like intensity, and that's what B:TR has. The only thing it doesn't have is a cobra roll, but I'd rather have two loops and a zero-g roll completed in 30 secs over a cobra roll, one loop, and one zero-g done in 45 any day.

Batman is way better than Raptor. I felt Raptor was way overrated, I guess if i didn't expect so much from it maybe I would of enjoyed it more? Anyways, B:TR is one of my favorite coaster close to MF for me. The whole experience is awesome and the theming adds so much more to a coaster.

Batman. That is one of the most intense coasters I have ever been on. There are only 2 parts I really liked on Raptor, the cobra roll and the last helix.
Eh, what's up?

I like rapter better because it's not as long of a line as B:TR and rapter you can see where your going while B:TR it's all a blurr and it's over too quick but it's still a pretty good ride!!frdbggns150
