you can find a pic of the layout if you go to

Then go to S&S, and click tech specs, the one with the 120 degree drop is the one.

So this is the first El Loco model to be built correct?

Those wall turns look nuts.
This looks likes something I made when I bored in No Limits haha.

Cool how do you pronounce the name though?

Steel Hog
Steel Hawk with a G instead of a K

Where do they come up with these names?

Too bad Holiday World can't get a large steel coaster like Indiana Beach. Anyway, I know where i'm going this summer!

Danhockey04, according to the press release that Mike Parker posted, it does say this about where the ride will be located.

One of the largest ride investments in Indiana Beach’s history, Steel Hawg will be located on the north side of the park near the popular Hoosier Hurricane and Rocky’s Rapids Log Flume rides. Steel Hawg is scheduled to deliver its unique coaster experience in mid-May.

This ride looks similar, not totally but on par with Zforce.

Does that drop technically qualify as an inversion?

And can someone email rcdb and tell them this

Great image!

As Galvan can verify, i've been following the "mystery" of their new coaster for a while and making my own guesses, but this announcement was not what i expected. I'm REALLY excited to ride it and plan on being there opening day, but there are a few questions i have with it. The first being that they claim that next year's addition is going where Chaos was, does anyone else think they might fit the ride layout to cross over there or is there a chance of another ride? And also, that comment about it being painful...it's worrying me cause it looks like it could be....

It's going to be in the parking lot near Hoosier Hurricane's station and Rocky Rapids Log Flume. Chaos's spot will be used as a smoking area. The ride will fit in good.

I can imagine they'd be like the Screamin Squirrel restraints.
...but I don't think most people here have ridden it.

I'd actually hope they can use something better than the SS ones. They're on Manhattan Express now and I've been hearing really bad reports about them. Maybe they could just use their lap bars?

^That would scare the crap out of me to ride a ride like that with only a lap bar....

3 inversions I believe the press release said but may be wrong on that, the art (admittedly crappy) shows only lapbars, and it will open 2 weeks after the park opens says the park, so I wouldn't show up on opening day expecting it to be open.

http://www.pharostribune.com/local/loca ... 24139.html

There is a good story with the art.

How did I miss this?

Ah, I will have to be there the weekend it opens. Although just a lapbar sounds a bit scary. :)
