According to Screamscape

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby Coaster Justin on November 23rd, 2007, 9:14 pm
Six Flags might be building or owning a park in Dubai, South Korea, or Qatar. Here is the story:

Meanwhile the latest rumors about Six Flags were interesting from a business point of view, as it seems the company may be in discussion with various groups about building Six Flags branded parks in Dubai, South Korea and Qatar. (Where? Yeah, I had to look that one up too…) So I guess the big question now is if Six Flags will take part in running those parks, or will they just license off their name for a franchise fee and a share of a profits?

Even though this sounds almost made up and rediculous, It could work. Those areas are major vacation destinations and have high population. South Korea has almost 50 Million People. I actually have an idea of What the Six Flags South Korea park could look like:

Six Flags Plaza
DC Comics Adventures
Northern Star Pier
Wiggle's World
Olympia
Bugs Bunny National Park

DC Comics Adventures
Lex Luthor's Mad Machine - Huss Giant Top Spin
Riddler's Revenge - Intamin 345ft Gyro Drop
Superman: Ride of Steel - Intamin Farienheit Clone
Catwomen's Whip - Intamin Drunken Barrels
Penguin's Blizzard River - Intamin River Rapids Ride
Gotham City Theater - 4000 Seat Outdoor Theater

Northern Star Pier
Twister- Zamperla DiskO Coaster
Wonder Wheel - Intamin Coaster Wheel
Musik Express - Mack Musik Express
Tidal Wave - Intamin Shoot the Chutes
Cyclone - Intamin Pre Fabricated Wooden Twister
Pirate - Intamin Super Bounty

Wiggle's World
SS Feathersword's Plunge- Intamin Log Flume
Bouncin with Wag's - Zamperla Jumpin Star 16
Big Red Car - Chance Electric Car Ride
Yummy Yummy Fruit Salad Tower - Zamperla Samba Tower
Dorthy's Play Factory - Koala Play Group Net Climb Play Area
Wiggle's Coaster - Vekoma Junior Coaster 335M

Olympia
Apollo - B&M 235ft Hyper Coaster
Pegasus - Gerstlaurer Spinning Coaster
Hades - Huss Giant Frisbee
Duel - Zamperla Bumper Cars
Hermes - Zamperla Wave Blaster
Cyclops - Zamperla Flying Carousel
Temple Of Zeus - Indoor 3000 Seat Theater
Parthenon - Indoor 3000 Seat Theater

Daffy's Adventure Tours - Zamperla Camp Bus
Yosemite Sam's Flight School - Zamperla Telecombat
Carrot Carousel - Chance 50ft Grande Carrousel
Elmer's Express - Zamperla Rio Grande
Wile E Coyote Canyon Blaster - Huss Rodeo
Tweety's Tea Cups - Zamperla Tea Cups

So even though this is probably made up and is from screamscape what do you think. I actually think that if Six Flags does build a park like this, it would fit Shapiro's idea of a park. I don't know if Wiggle's are that popular in These Areas.

Heard about it, don't really believe it.

Never heard about it, and definitely don't believe it.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I agree with the last 2 posts but for an extra $0.02 the Huss Giant Top Spin is currently not offered for sale by Huss and probably wont be at any point in the future unless there are major advances in ride technology.

Although a good idea from a business pov if its true they could make money but why not built another one here in America. SiX Flags over Florida, Six Flags Hawaii or Las Vegas they would make a good addition to the company they could open it year round theyll probably make enough money and get about 6 to 5 million visitors a year from other pass holders who takes vacation to these states and international tourist who knows SF reputation for good rides. Could you imagine riding a clone of raging bull in Las Vegas or a viper ride in FL open all year except when its closed not a bad idea at all...

I dont think Las Vegas will like it that much as it seems like the Family image failed on them.

I dont know if Hawaii has that big of a population. Great America on a slow year probably gets more attendance than the entire population of Hawaii.

Florida, I can agree with. Maybe they can buy Cypress Gardens or buy Boomers Miami.

^There is already too much competition in the state. How has Cypress Gardens been doing? Even if SF did build a park, they would have the most competition from Busch Gardens.

Screamscape says:
The grass is blue and the sky is green

Sounds like a really bad rumor to me, again. Screamscape is victorious for them.

There is a very good reason why Hawaii has no coasters. The islands are not stable enough for them to be safe. Screamscape only reported this as a rumor heard. Not as fact. In the last 2 years, Screamscape's info has been pretty reliable. When it's just a rumor, they say so.

^The weather would effect the coasters a little bit but other states have bad weather and they stay stable plus I don't think some parts of Hawaii isn't not stable enough. They could build coasters on the island it's just a small state but very vacation popular but more for the beaches and resorts and stuff unless a coaster fan went there for vacation.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)

Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
