CoasterBoy Apology

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

My name is CoasterBoy. I signed up to sfgamworld.com after viewing the site for years. I actually have FParker's Park Count thread that was posted on September 4, 2005 in My Favorites because I love lists. When I became a member of this website... I started making a bunch of low-quality topics just to see people's lists. Some will remember my first Forum of what parks you have been to. I just like comparing myself to other peoples park and coaster counts, as it helps me plan future trips.

Recently, I have been slipping in quality with my posts according to some great people as "odd, unrealistic, and being off-topic". I was probably off by a long shot in My "Mount Olympus Thread" but you guy's asked me my opinion. You can read it if you want proof. Um... In the "Six Flags selling rides thread" I mentioned Hotels and flat rides, which have nothing to do with the topic, to which I stopped. I consider that Strike 2.

In my latest and possibly dumbest post, I posted my Spoof of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" to involve a theme park. I just thought that you guys would like it, that's all. It was met with overall negative reviews and locked after about 4 posts.

So basically, if I offended anyone with my comments, I am very sorry. Also, if anyone disliked my posts and said things to me, I could understand why you would say that. Basically, since almost any post I do is going to sound horrible, possibly this one, I think I might stop for awhile. So Basically, what I am trying to say is:

Sorry and If you can forgive me over the huge messup I've made, I would greatly appreciate it. Take care. I'm not going to post until January next year. So am I forgiven?

Moderator, Please don't delete this thread as almost everyone needs to hear my apology to you, the website, and the forums.

Hey man, We all make mistakes and I forgive you. I've even got a warning before from being smart to a mod and I apologized for that. Also, Sorry for those that I'VE been rude, smart, negative, or mean to. I'm really not that kinda guy. Ever since I first joined stuff has been happening to me like some of my family members dying, my dad getting cancer, and moving to a new home which all of that puts me in a bad mood but I keep my trust and faith in God. So again I'm sorry and love you all because you're all my friends on this site.

No mistakes made CoasterBoy, there's no reason why someone can't post their opinions on here like you have been. Seriously, don't ban yourself, if people don't wanna read your posts (for whatever reason) it's their problem to skip it, not yours to stop writing. We've all been through that new poster time frame where everything you think of you want to be heard so that people respect you on here. The respect comes from the posts with time...you'll learn what to say and what not to say and the only way you are going to learn this is by stickin with the forums! Stay....it's too early to give up something for 40 days

Exactly what Tony said, the only way to learn is by stickin' around! Don't feel obliged to ban yourself...

CoasterBoy,

The only posts that are dumb in my eyes are the ones that are meant to cut someone down or just to purposely be annoying. You made a mistake, so what! I made a couple mistakes myself when I first started posting in forums. Trust me, it is something you really have to get used to. Everyone is new to something and everyone takes a little bit to get with the flow of things. Is just like those new shoes - They may feel uncomfortable at first, but after you wear them a while, you won't even realize they are on your feet. That's why no one should think bad about amature posters...they aren't experienced yet. They need time to grow, just like everything does. You can't be expected to automatically run smoothly with things. DON'T GO AWAY! That will only make things worse!

You weren't trying to be an annoyance to anyone. So you made a mistake in thinking your posts were cool, but no one liked them...Well, you tried. And that's what counts. Don't feel bad and if anyone has a problem with you, they can stick it up their....

hey man, don't beat yourself up. Forums are supposed to be used to express one's opinion about a given topic. If people don't like it, then don't read it. I think it would be stupid for you to stop posting though because I actually like a few of your posts. :)
