Mitch Hawkers Coaster Poll 2007

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby Danhockey04 on November 7th, 2007, 12:19 am
It's that time of the year again when Mitch Hawkers does the best coaster poll known to mankind. I am going to post a link to everyone so you can submit your ballots. The main site has previous results. This is the for wooden coasters, the instructions and ballot can be found there. It is not hard.

-Copy the ballot in its entirety, which is about 2/3 of the way down to the bottom.
-Leave the lines it says to leave there.
-The first 'n' is either yes or no depending on whether you rode it THIS year. Change to a 'y' if you rode it this year.
-The second 'n' is either yes or no depending on whether you have ridden the coaster ever. Change to a 'y' if you rode it
-Delete all the coasters you put as a 'n' in the second column.
-Rate the coasters 1 being best and higher numbers are worse. (Leave best steel coaster in it and rank that where it would apply in relation to the wooden coasters)
-Fill in your information, email, name/nickname.
-Rank the elements from 1-6; from best to worst

Then submit the ballot to wcoasterpoll@yahoo.com with the subject, 2007 Wood Poll Ballot

Hope that helps if you decide to complete the ballot.

If you look over at TPR, theres a link to an online ballot, which is just dragging around the coasters and ranking the ones you road.

I'll try and find that for later.

it's a pain in the butt especially if you've ridden a bunch of coasters. I have no idea how i'm supposed to rank 538 coasters :)

I've never participated, though that is the only poll that exists that is accurate in any way shape or form.

Yeah here's the easier version of the ballot.
And when I say easier, I mean WAY easier.

I just stick to the old way, its classic and not too hard once you get it, and I guess if you only have 30 or so wooden coasters.

Well, I think it may also be easier to do it the classic way when you have no new rides from the year and can just copy/paste your old ballot into the email and send that out. :D

I'm not suprised with the turnout. Though I'm very curious how fast Avalanche is. On Roller Coasters in the Raw it just says FAST!!! and on RCDB it doesn't say anything.

I know i heard a figure somewhere, cant remember where or what it was, but I would assume that Avalanche is in the 50mph range.
